^^ Not on the East Coast! Be lucky to get to 20. Today it's been so cold it could pass for March.

That's going to be my new saying: That really boils my biscuits.

I'm wearing that now. A dress, tights, a cardigan and slippers. I'm still cold

It's been cloudy and cold up here for the last 3 days, had to put the heating on tonight for a bit. It would be a good day for March.

Why are people so adamant about needing rain to cool things down... ?? The past couple of weeks it's been steadily increasing in temperature here in the mid South, the hottest days around 23-26. It hasn't rained for well over three (four, five.. ??) weeks and humidity has been low. Yesterday it rained for just over an hour and has since felt swamp-like and even hotter, with humidity sat at over 80% ........... !!

Rain
Is
Not
Good

Temperature decreasing is the answer but if it's going to be hot then please pray it be dry.

I'm in Glasgow and we were promised a heavy downpour and thunder from 2 - 4 pm in my area, all we got was a light misty rain and not a rumble of thunder. Worst part was it was bloody warmer after the rain! I hate having to work outdoors in this heat.

To be 29 or 30 today here . All day training on zoom in my flat. Me and the cat are going to die.

The fan is helping a little but in a couple of hours it will just be wafting hot air around.
I have opened the bathroom window and barricaded the door so Harv can't get in and I have ice blocks in the freezer - the ones for cool bags - which are fab to whack on the back of your neck!

^ You can try closing curtains in rooms here the sun is on that side. Other than that maybe you'll have to wear minimal clothing (do you have to be on camera on zoom ), drink iced drinks etc?!

It is really nice up here only 23ish and a nice sea breeze off the East Coast, lovely sunny and drops to 11 - 12 at night so cools the place down a bit. You can keep the Hot Hot I perfectly happy with this.

Mind this morning it was a bit pea soup when I went to work but the sun had burnt through by 8.30.

I've got one window which is a big box type window which has no curtains . I've never got round to bothering with it as i'm on the 2nd floor and its postioned in such a ay that no one can really see in, plus it overlooks a train track and trees. It does let in a lot of sun though :/

sadly I had to have my camera on some of the time! but yeah I bought a big bag of ice from sainsburys - best buy of the week I've got to say!

I popped out at about 4.30pm ish and on coming back in I realised my flat is much hotter than outside

Yes, cooler weather is a'coming! I can see light at the end of the June tunnel. Get July done and we're looking good, only August to wait out then! Praise the Lord!

I have cautious optimism about August. Meant to be one of the lesser profile most rainy months. So fingers crossed.

Raining heavily and thundering and lightening overhead. I hope it clears the air because it's too darn hot.
