Phone / Tablet Charging Faffery
when you plug in your phone or tablet for charging, how do you make sure it's going straight in the correct way round?
I so often manage to get the USB part the wrong way around in the socket, then also have to twiddle and fiddle with the tiny little elliptical end till it accurately slots into the phone. the more I get it wrong, the more the phone lead seems to loosen over time and the cable gets messed up. has anyone mastered this great art? I suggest need a poll is needed to see who is getting it right.

I had a right faff this morning. My mobile ran out of power, and I wanted to take a photo of where a fire had gone off yesterday. And everytime I put the charger in it wouldn't charge, so it was about 15 minutes of faffing around until it started to charge.

Usb C, so no rotatory faff here. The other end of the cable stays in the charger in the wall socket.
The faff is my phone is supposedly waterproof so I need something to open the sealed rubber charging port flap, like a pen.

A great tip (which I got from here actually) for making sure you always insert the USB in the correct way at the first attempt is to make sure you do it while squatting over a mirror.
