How muffled my hearing must have been.

I had ear micro-suction a few days ago because I'd been having trouble with my ears feeling blocked and Otex wasn't making a difference. One in particular I knew was bad - I would purposely lay on the other (goodish) one so Game of Thrones wasn't as loud when my partner put it on in bed. Given the amount of wax she pulled out of both, I could see why...

Trouble is, since having it, lots of everyday sounds seem sooo loud. Every time I flush the toilet I'm like 'shuttt uppp!'

And now Game of Thrones sounds even bloody louder.

The reason newer trains don't have bonded side windows and instead have rubber seals is that bonded windows apparently have a higher failure rate as in falling out of the frame and are harder to repair.

Yes I’m a man. I actually use a Western name in my day to day life, Peter, because growing up some people use to say Amara is a girls name but a quick Google search shows that in my fathers country Sierra Leone, Amara is also a name used for males.

^ The hair dryer is something ridiculous like that too.

My partner's mum got one, basically because she's easily sucked in by expensive doohickeys. She was disappointed her hair looks just the same after as when using a normal hairdryer. I think she convinced herself it was somehow going to blow Eva Longoria's hair onto hers.

Amara is a cool name. And there's a potential cool contraction there with 'Am' too. Annoying people were dicks about it.
