I'd recommend Scattergories,
The good thing is, you can all just space out on couches or chairs when you play it, rather than being gathered closely around a table (which does my knees in, when it's a low table)
So it can be a "socially distanced" game if need be,
you all get a piece of paper and a pen and a list of categories and there's an odd dice with lots of letters on it,
You throw the dice and you write out all your categories all starting with the letter of the alphabet the dice lands at,..

I like it because it's usually a very chilled, casual game that lasts as long as you want really,
It's usually quite fun.

Thanks to all for the gaming suggestions! I did have my eye on Dobble anyway so i went for that and Uno (both 'kids' versions). Not that it matters now because of restrictions

Sorry guys, forgot again. How do I post a photo again? I used Imgur (I think??) To upload photo. I attached the link. Deleted the part of the link I believed was necessary and I just come up with a blank post?

I tried searching for a 'how to' post but to no avail.

Yep. It just posts the link. Unless I'm using the wrong link?
I don't understand all this html link and whatever other linkoptions are there.

Do you want me to post the photo link and you amend it?

Oh you don't even need to delete anything for that one. Spotty dog! Thank you.

What actually is a BB code or does no one pay attention to it other than knowing it is used for forums?

We had lots of fireworks here. Some of them I'm sure were bombs judging by the noise and not fireworks.

Yeah loads of fireworks here too, people were already complaining on the local Facebook page that they were going off at 6pm which I will agree was a bit early.

I assumed everyone was going to be doing that, people were going to celebrate in their own little way. So I did that myself, partly out of fear of looking like a weirdo who isn't doing what every one else is doing as I'm already ostracised by my neighbours, and partly because it gave me an excuse to play music loud (what other time can you really be excused for that?) so now I'm wondering if I've once again judged a situation horrendously badly!? and that people were not celebrating because of how much of a bad year it's been?
I don't know what things were like in your area, IM, but there were fireworks here (although none at midnight, it seemed as people were letting them mostly between 6-9pm; there were no parties (at least none which came to my attention), of course, because like 75% of the population of England, I am now living under Tier 4 restrictions (and on a personal front, I don't have a bubble so I am restricted to meeting only one other person, outdoors) and with so many areas having been placed under those restrictions only 24 hours before the end of the year, I can imagine that a lot of plans were cancelled last minute.

I would have thought that it having been a bad year would be more of a reason to celebrate its end, but of course the way in which we were able to do that was restricted. Personally, I spent mine having a few, relaxed drinks and chatting online.

There were quite a lot of fireworks here. Mostly around 6-7pm, then the occasional single one going off after that, until quite a few around midnight (I assume it was midnight - I was in bed and didn't see the time). I don't like fireworks at all and don't understand what pleasure anyone gets out of watching them, even when they're done as part of an organised demonstration. I especially don't get what pleasure anyone gets out of lighting a single one in their gardens, and that seemed to be happening all last night. Does a family gather together in the cold to watch a single firework shoot up and explode, then go back inside happy at what they just did? It doesn't make any sense.

Tbh though people didn't go out as they usually would so they were probably using fireworks as entertainment.

I like a good organised firework display and can certainly see the appeal, what annoys me is that any old tom dick or hsrry can get hold of fireworks and set them off anytime of thr day or night.

We bought a couple of the cheaper ones from Amazon - about £25 - which seemed more reasonable than the "premium" ones which are about £100+.

They were quite small though, so be sure to check the measurements.

They don't stay in place that well either.

I heard of another product that's like a sleeping bag but it goes under and over your mattress so you're sort of cocooned in.

I can't find it from Googling it but this looks similar:

update: it's actually this one:

I have one. I don't use it for sleeping though. It's not as heavy as I would like but it does feel comforting

Is it possible to just re-magnitize a fridge door if the seal is getting a bit dodgy or does the whole seal thing need replacing?
My fridge keeps on randomly opening so it's currently kept closed with a 6-pack of mineral water but the procrastination about doing something about it is getting a bit ridiculous now.

^ Have you thought about a child lock from Mothercare (other shops selling infant safety devices are available)? A few years ago, I had a fridge which wouldn't close for the same reason and that resolved my issue.

I did think about that, I would totally have done that if it was my own flat but because it's rented and we're supposed to take care of minor stuff ourselves I sort of need to get it fixed.
I wish I just wasn't so useless with stuff like this, I have a bunch of LED lights that I need to replace as well but I can't even get as far as even getting in to them.

Has anyone stayed logged into this site despite not using it for 20-30mins? (However long the duration is when it's supposed to log out automatically).

I've just got back from work (having left sometime after 11am) and i'm still logged in
