^^^^It works both ways though. To me, the socialist vision is a sort of purgatory that you can only escape by becoming rich. And ofc, for either party to get into power they have to let the rich become richer. I don't think becoming rich should be the goal, I think becoming unpoor should be the goal. To become unpoor through your own efforts seems like a worthy life goal to me. It should be attainable for at least a young person and if it isn't, then we have gone very wrong somewhere. I'm not sure which Tory campaigns we are referring to here. I wouldn't like to guess whether Tory or Labour in 2010s would offer a greater chance of becoming unpoor through your own efforts.

I keep seeing a rat in our garden and I don't know how I feel about it.
Part of me thinks, cool how sweet, he's only trying to survive like the rest of us...... and part of me thinks, little bugger get out of my garden.
I don't mind seeing it but it's just the thought of the damage they can do to property. No idea where the nest is.
Either way, I could never kill one. I'm such a wimp. I guess just got to hope his nest is somewhere else

I keep seeing a rat at the unit. He/she is quite good at avoiding humans.

IMO Colin Murray was a great fit those few weeks when he was filling in for Nick Hewer (who I also couldn't warm to) - I wonder if he'll be given the job permanently? Here's hoping.
