I get in trouble a lot at home for abusing the electric heater in my room blaring away on 2 bars ands it uses like 1500 w of leccy and sometimes i go to bed or go out and just leave it on. lol

we are poor also, so it doesn't help.

Not that im bragging or care that much =p but I just presume that because mine is a bigger and has that twin blade thingy on it, (Simply describing it lol.) that it uses more than most.

Or put another way. It seems alot more effective than say those default white looking ones. Seems to put out more air, though is a bit noisier as a result. Aswell as obviously having two blades, so presumably needing more effort to spin them.

But regardless, it isnt much but because we are on a meter thingy that shows the money, I can see it goes down a bit faster when its on than when it isnt. (Idk /how/ quickly because its hard to figure out unless I got other people to turn things off.)

But yes, real money loss is in those electric heaters, my god the money goes down fast on those things. I dont have one anymore. (Ex used to) The amount of electric that thing used was ridiculous.

I still doubt it uses much. I have a consumption meter that you can plug any appliance into and it tells you how much electricity they are using. My big fan like yours (but four blades) uses about 60 watts on full speed. It's fan heaters that use loads of electricity.

Thats actually reassuring then as it might come in handy in future to turn fan on when gf puts the heating on too high for too long. The dry air irritates my skin, the fan really helps regulate my body temperature by adjusting the setting. Such as I do atm because everyone loves the house being a sauna..

When we live somewhere that hasnt got bills included its nice to think that they dont actually cost much. I hate too much heat and she hates being too cold.

I also like the fan on at night sometimes to block out sounds and/or to feel the breeze on me. Even if its not hot, just because its relaxing sensation.

Have the heating on as soon as it starts to get chilly. My boiler wasn't working for a bit this year so I really appreciate it now. My heating bill must be astronomical but gas is cheaper than electric, hate being cold and I'm worth it

Finally have enough money to go to the shop and put some on the gas meter card and I'm sick. Plus it's snowing
