5 miles away was on the news for flooding. I was so unaware of it I just went and drove to a flood plain without knowing lol. Lucky it wasn’t flooded.

I just saw this flash and thought I had imagined it and then really loud thunder. I think there might be another storm tonight. I dont know why but I get really scared during storms but really excited too!

Yes, please - I'm on holiday in Cornwall, that would be perfect (although the forecast is 21).

^ that's pretty good going - 21!

To be truthful, I'd be well up for an extra bit of warm weather and sunshine. Im not mentally prepared for grey days.

Heavy weather to batter Kent today. Hope there is a storm tonight with lightning guys!!

No one would want to be with me during a storm I have to get under the covers and cuddle my pillows and hot water bottle. sometimes I imagine Im dreaming and its all in my imagination....its like the snow when it arrives you think to yourself...is it really snowing outside and you feel such a drop in temperature and then look outside.

I think in Britain we have such a varied seasonal life that you can never get bored with the seasons. I am sure you all have your favourites. I think mine is Spring because it is leading toward summer but then when summer comes it is often a disappointment!

Blankets are becoming useful again.
Windows aren't as open as they once were.
Socks are a good idea.

This is my kind of weather, lovely and cool and crisp. Looked out the window this morning and thought 'Ooh, it's really foggy out', but it turned out that my window was all steamed up! New glasses for Tubbs, please

^ it was weirdly wet of ground and warm of air today.

It's proper windy out there. I've just had a vision of my cat whirling around in the wind in the garden.

We need some rain. It's October now, time to get realistic. History repeats. There should be rain somewhere in the offing. I should move to Ireland.

^ Still yellow weather warnings for heavy rain here (Lake District) and just had a week in western central Scotland (still under a yellow weather warning) of constant rain.

^ they really ought to rename yellow weather warnings because it sounds like they mean piss will be falling from the sky.

Do you experience flooding where you live, greg?
