Musing. Musing on how much longer one of the sanctuaries I volunteer at will continue for. I went out to lunch with the owner today (also last Thursday and Saturday). She seemed really unwell today. A couple of weeks ago she had results of the poo test which were positive, she's now convinced she has bowel cancer. I don't know obviously but she seemed very tired today and couldn't eat half her meal due to stomach pains and nausea (this has gone on for some time but much worse lately). shes been told to go for an urgent colonoscopy. So will have to wait and see. Feel really sorry for her. she's worried more about all the animals and whats going to happen to them if she goes into hospital etc.. We've currently got 8 cats, 2 kittens, 1 residential cat. An African grey parrot, chickens, God knows how many guinea pigs, 2 rabbits, 2 gerbils, mice. A donkey and a Shetland. She's also got a gaggle of small dogs down at the house. Plus kennels down on the coast for rescuing dogs.
God knows what were going to do.

I'm surprised by how much difference keeping the curtains closed this morning has made to the temperature in the bedroom.
It's around 27 degrees outside but in here it's comfortably cool, even without the fan on!

I normally hate the curtains being shut during the daytime but in this weather I can put up with it, not sure I'm keen to put my boxers in the freezer though

I'm starting to think there is something wrong with me, everyone else is moaning how hot it is but I don't actually feel that hot.

I'm thinking that I would like to be sat with my feet in a paddling pool, or some sort of water feature. That would be nice.

You can always wet your wrists with cold water - that's quite refreshing for a brief moment. Leave them to dry off.

^ Yes I do that sometimes too. It would just be nice to be splashing my feet in cold water right now for some reason. On the radio this morning one of the presenters was working from home and saidnshe was stood with her feet in her dog's paddling pool

It just makes me feel less guilty I goes. I don’t think it’s impressive self awareness, just extra honesty with myself.

Yeah I also have a crush on the lady I think. Idtk. But she is older than me and maybe has kids. She was not wearing a blazer today I think because of how hot it is. I saw her behind and it’s big, that made me aroused. But then I can’t have her. How do you stay sane when you like a woman but know you can’t really go out with her?

And then I think I come across as innocent but my mind is just as dirty as most mens.

I think sexual desire has ruined my interactions with women because I try to suppress it so much. Before I looked down on men who express it but maybe I should learn to express it more.

We all have to deal with this at times. My approach was to keep reminding myself I was there to work, not to date.

Don't forget Alone, you may not be able to date that particular woman but there are probably women who are very similar who you would feel the same attraction to that you could actually have experiences with if you wanted to.
