Yes indeed. What do you think -in your opinion- is going to happen after we die, Jen.?

Will we continue to a sort of afterlife?, reincarnation maybe?, or people just die and that's it?

That we return to the same state we were in before we existed, the same as every other living thing, i.e. our matter again becomes part of everything else.

Not sure. I looked into spiritualism a few years ago because it seemed to provide evidence, but I then read up on cold reading and wasn't so sure.

I also took quite an interest in near death experiences, particularly when I was suicidal but as Jen pointed out it could be a biological experience.

I hope there's something after death but as my old therapist pointed out it could be worse than life.

She's been back since about 2 months ago with a suitably much smaller (micro?) car, parking in her actual space. All good. I'm not sure under what circumstances she's chosen to come back because her flat was on the market for quite some time (about 8 months) and she wasn't living here during that period, which was great because she absolutely stinks the place out with her cigarettes. Anyway, i believe she wanted to still use my space because within 24-48hrs of having moved back she was knocking on my door (on two occasions), to which i ignored (because of my suspicion.... and i was hungover, lol). Unfortunately, today i've noticed her leave with the small car BUT come back, parked across the road, with the ****ing stupid truck. Not good. I really don't want to give in to her because she will hark back to the previous arrangement and say what's the problem. The thing is, that arrangement came about because before she just started parking wherever she wanted and it pissed everyone off. A meeting had to be arranged and she got her way (my mum who previously lived here agreed to exchange spaces as a temporary measure (this was all quite some time ago)). I really dislike her attitude and i think it says a lot about someone who causes such a fuss and forces their way when all she had to do was get rid of the truck. Another thing to add is each time she came to do the viewings (for when her place was on the market) she would park in such a way that 3 of us couldn't get in/out. Who the **** does that... ?! So yeah, she can do one.
Well, can't say it feels good to be correct but she's only gone and done exactly what i said. I haven't moved the car all weekend and the moment i did she moved hers into my space.

I pretty much did. I had very firm words with her, got the whole lot off my chest, including the smell of cigarettes (no apology or barely acknowledged really). She tried to play for sympathy (health), she also played the 'don't be rude', 'i'm not arguing' cards but i shot each of those down immediately. I did at one point apologise for my impolite tone but didn't budge an inch from my view.

^^ You what... ? O_o (don't get it.. ?)

^ She won't. I know this gets bandied about a lot but she's of the type of personality that looks a little like narcissism. Yep, i said it, i apologise. And i know how this could look with the 'elderly lady' thing but trust me she's a type.

It's a pickup type thing - very big, completely unnecessary, totally not suited to parking here ... there or anywhere. Twat mobile.

^ yeah, you've really got to watch out for those bad grandmother truckers.

Hopefully when things have cooled off she'll realise the best thing to do is to make different parking arrangements *crosses fingers*.

Are you okay? Confrontations can be scary.

I have very little hope of that. She's owned that flat for the best part of ten years and has always driven that car. A normal person would have gotten a smaller car. This isn't a normal person.

I've read parts of this books and it really confused me at first.
Not that I literally embrace everything in it, but still, it gave me a whole new perspective about life and existence.

On a side note, I would love to listen to the rest of it at dinner/lunch time, for example, but unfortunately, no way I could understand spoken English without subtitles.

How is Shakespeare's writing/language back then was more difficult/complex compared to its nowadays counterpart? , same thing you notice when trying to read a couple pages from an old book like the origin of species.

as if languages started complex and became simpler over time? I mean, isn't it supposed to be the other way around?

^ Well, it's an interesting thought, but the "nowadays counter part" of Shakespeare would be literary fiction, I suppose. And the language in that sort of writing can be highly difficult and complex.

And ordinary people in everyday life in Shakespeare's time didn't talk like Shakespeare's characters, either, of course. Imagine how the actors performing Shakespeare's plays talked between scenes - probably not so elevated!

Genovese?

I think I know what you meant by that batman post

I would go into more detail about it, but I don't want Spud to think that I'm dissing him

Although I think that Biscuit has already expressed what we would have expressed ourselves to Spud

Or another way of putting it

Biscuit is like our Spud Whisperer! Or something like that

Anyway, now seems like a good time to help you with that batman post!

Ok, let me use this magnifying glass

Ummm. Ok. Interesting.....

Batman?

Seinfeld?

Spud?

Umm, ok. Very interesting......

Give me a second, Genovese

I'm nearly there!

I just need a more powerful magnification device to be sure!

I've got it!!!!!!!

I do believe it was Colonel Mustard who did the Butler in!

Damn it! I thought I had it then!!!!!

Although, hold on!

Spud is like Batman

The chain smoking driver is like the Penguin

And Seinfeld is like the glue that helps to bind this story together

Or another way of putting it

I need to be up at 7am!
