Default First year diploma results.

Not often i post on this part of the forum but following on from the impressive results attained by Nemesis, Kev, SM and others, i got my results for the 3 written modules of my counselling diploma year 1.

I got one merit and 2 distinctions :D so i'm chuffed with that.
That gets me an advanced certificate in counselling skills, which will become a full advanced diploma if/when i get through year 2 successfully.

Well done to everyone else who got good results, and well done for giving it a go to anyone who didn't quite get there this time.

Thanks Custard.

I'm now qualified to counsel myself for being depressed at coming back from my holidays.

And a big thank you to you too Amy.

WELL DONE! That's sooo inspiring to me especialy as I'm gonna do similar courses eventually. It can be done, despite SA eh! Take that SA.

Congrats - it's well deserved, from what you have said it's a hell of a hard slog.

oops! I forgot i'd posted this thread. :embarass:

Thanks pboy, MidWalian, 'bud and RayOfLight.

pboy, I know you have a strong desire to do these courses too. I really hope you go for it. I'm a fair bit older than you so i can understand how you may wonder if you're ready to do it just yet.
It took me a decade to enrol once i'd decided this career was for me.
Don't give up on your dreams and you'll get there when you are ready. Yes, it can be a slog, and it's not easy for anyone, nevermind the SA, but if i can do it then i'm 100% sure you can too. You know i will always offer any help and support that i can if/when you enrol. Good luck mate.

Bud, Very kind words indeed from you there. Thank you.
If i've helped in any way then the pleasure was all mine.
I think that the hardest person to please is ourselves most of the time. I know that you can crack your problems, and one day it will start fitting into place for you. The only time we stop failing in life is when we give up trying. I fail at loads of things all the time. You keep trying, and that's why one day you will beat this thing. Never stop trying mate. Takecare.

Thanks to everyone that replied to my thread.

Yay...Well done, Innerspace!!!

I've always found your posts tremendously helpful and inspiring, and although I've not managed it myself (so far!), you've shown that with A LOT of hard work and a little self-belief the battle with SA can be won. I think you'll make a superb counsellor, and I wish you many congratulations on your well deserved success.

Aww, thanks Scottidog. I appreciate your comments.
To be honest, i lose my self-belief at times even now, but the comments on this thread have boosted me a lot and this is spurring me on to push myself in my final year which starts in 6 weeks or so.

Thanks again for your comments, they mean a lot to me.

Dave.

I didn't always have that attitude though, and i used to quit at the first hint of failure but i suppose i realised that this would get me nowhere.

The newer attitude has served me extremely well though, so i'll stick with it. If only i knew in my 20's and 30's what i know now.

Oh well, we live and learn eh?

Even though I'm only 22, I look back at situations, particularly in my teens, and realise if I showed half the attitude and mental toughness, things may have worked out a lot differently.

I guess I have a couple of regrets, but don't we all? Still, I can take a positive out of most things, even a minor one, so I'm learning something!

Live and Learn!

Whoa! Just saw this thread for the first time.

If there's anybody in this world who will be able to help people with life's problems ...

it's ((Inner*Dave))

Of course, his alter ego, Inner the Kinky Klown helps party goers, too.

Good Job Dave!!

Cheers Harvey (CI) and Shaz.

We supposed to enrol for year 2 next week. I'm having a low time and a crisis of confidence at the moment too, but these replies help a lot.

Thanks all.
