^ Sorry, I have a tendency to use exclamation marks too much. But I am happy that there are still a lot of beards about amongst the male population.

Today I've read that using the "refresh" feature in Firefox is great. I clicked the refresh button, and man, I lost all bookmarks/addons. I had cool addons installed, and now I can't even recall their name to install them again.

Downstairs has company. Two or three people. It's really nice to hear a good time being had by someone here, it's usually so quiet.

The way depression is going to kill me isn't because of the depression/sadness itself, it's going to be during one of those panic attacks I get in bed in the morning (when I first wake up). I don't know how rare it is, but my depression causes me horrible panic attacks and I doubt I'll survive them every time.

The reason why this happens when I first open my eyes is when I realize this is reality after sleep, and the sad feelings that consume me is in real life. Then my body starts physically reacting horribly. I hear my heartbeats very rapid and loud in my ears, strong burning chest pain, etc..

^ Are you getting any help for your depression or your panic attacks? That sounds terrible to be dealing with on your own.

^ I change Antidepressants "myself" every couple years.
The thought of getting a professional help/visiting a doctor is so overwhelming at this point. Last time I did was a decade ago.

I have always had depression and social anxiety, but nothing like that happened until last couple years (on and off). I suppose since 2020.

^ Have you found any of the antidepressants help? I am on one that I think helps somewhat, particularly with the depression.
It is pretty daunting to go and see the GP. There are some mental health services that you can self refer to, I think there was a post about it in the SA room if you're interested.

Did the pandemic affect your mental health? Or was it just a coincidence that you've been feeling a lot worse since then?

Dougella, you know, the socializing part is what I dread most when it comes to getting help, plus I lost all faith in whoever specializes in mental health. Pretty much anyone who claims they can treat psychological problems. (I've became very closed-minded. I was not like that in the past).

I don't think the pandemic affected my mental health much. It was just a coincidence. The year 2020 was one of the worst, though.

Vitamin C helps with iron absorption though. They used to advise having a glass of orange juice along with an iron supplement.

@Perhaps I hear what you're saying. I've been through so many meds. I'm tired of seeing the doctor about this and trying to explain it...Just going to the doctors fills me with anxiety and dread.
I'm not getting any younger and losing hope.

I usually eat vit C anyway but interesting to know.
Iron meant to be related to mental health.

I can relate. Now I feel like I have accomplished something when the day passes by peacefully.

It seems like I have come to peace with the fact that my brain chemistry is ruined for good to the point where I'm starting to put hopes on my next round/next life "if there's any".

I can also relate.

I've lost all hope when it comes to mental health matters and just regard getting through another day as a big achievement. I'm old and tired.

Something I come across online frequently, but never considered doing before is cutting out sugar for 30 days.
I mean why not! No specific goals in mind, only for the sake of experiment.

The design of this site is unique especially in the endless scroll down internet era.

Same. I'm not sure if it's just me, but the internet in general used to be so much fun before 2014/2015

Is there anything that trigger yawning?
I really rarely yawn, but yesterday for some reason I kept yawning that my eyes kept watering. It felt good.
