^ he was left in a state where he was physically repulsed from violence, unable to cope with it, then everyone took their revenge on him.
In the end it's suggested that he was restored to his former horrible self, though it doesn't really show what happens after he leaves the hospital.

Edit: I think what happens afterwards is he becomes Mayor of London and later the PM. Maybe I'm confusing him with someone else...

I've never seen A Clockwork Orange. Anything to do with eyes gives me the willies.

Strange, because it definitely was there ... i actually watched it, lol. It was probably about a month back. I mentioned it to a friend because i remember saying how surprised i was that ...... oh, no actually that was for Taxi Driver. I was just saying it's about time it was made available, something as big as that. Have you seen Taxi Driver? You've probably missed the boat on that too.
Are you talking to me?

Yep, I've seen taxi driver. One word: overrated

I don't think I was able to finish watching Clockwork Orange, it was far too violent for me. But I remember loving the Shining, although I'd never watch it again now because I've grown so soft and can't take scary movies anymore.

I need to give 2001: A Space Odyssey another go though, to see what all the fuss is about.

If animated films count, then Princess Mononoke is my all time favorite. I love all the studio ghibli movies, they're just so pretty, but this one in particular has always been my favorite.

Princess Mononoke is one of the darker ones, and I love the surreal imagery with the sentiment behind it (anti-war, eco, general commentary on society). The action scenes are badass and I still have a crush on Ashitaka (and honestly San too haha). Love the music as well.

In terms of non-animated films, hmmmmm... That's a toughy for me. I actually might say Stardust (2007), because I love fantasy and whimsical things with a good dose of humor. This is definitely more for sentimental reasons too.

Faves which I've seen loads and loads of times:

The Wicker Man (no, not that one)
Dawn of the Dead (original)
Threads
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Together

Faves that for some reason I've only actually watched once or twice, so not sure if they count:

There Will Be Blood
Boyhood
Before Sunrise
Before Sunset

I knew there were people with taste on SAUK! I salute you sir.

I hate it when Americans re-make British classics. I live in dread of an American re-make of Withnail and I.

I haven't seen Get Carter for a good, long while. I'm a little apprehensive about sticking my flag to it. I did really like it way back when. I remember a great soundtrack and some good settings. And the purple knickers. I recently rewatched Blade Runner and was a little meh about it - not as good as i remember, so...

Call me a philistine, but I really liked the remake of The Italian Job.
Mark Wahlberg has actually done some pretty decent films IMO

The rest of the cast and storyline were okay as well,
Edward Norton, Donald Sutherland, Charlize Theron etc.
And Velvet Revolver's version of 'Money' in the mix too,..

Not sure I have a fav often depends on what mood I'm in.

I do love - There will be blood (mostly cause I find Daniel Day Lewis acting in it mesmorising)
One Flew over the Cuckoos nest
The Quiet American (Michael Caine on form)
Still love Hitchcocks Psycho

Watched Brokeback Mountain again recently still really enjoyed that and also whats it called Manchester by the Sea.

Oh and I love love love - Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Though haven't watched since it came out which was a while back.

I often fall back into comfort films from the 90's or sometimes the 80's where there easy to watch and comfortable. Watched Appollo 13 the other night and As Good as it Gets (which I flipping love - infact that can go on the list!)
