Thanks for the hugs.

Can't stop crying. The pain of losing someone you love, human or pet, is absolutely awful. We've got 4 other ageing cats that still need us, but nothing can replace the sweet girl we've just lost

sorry for the pain you are feeling. You gave her a good long happy life, that's all any of us can do or ask for.

@Consolida I'm so sorry I've no doubt whatsoever that your cat knew how loved she was, and how lucky she was to have you as an owner. Thinking of you and sending love your way.

Sending lots of hugs and love, Consolida. Saying goodbye is so hard and the longing for their affection that it leaves behind. Our hearts are cat shaped. So sorry that you're going through this. It's incredibly hard because they mean so much

Consolida, as horrible as your day must have been, that sounds like the best way for your lovely cat to go really. It’s important to properly say goodbye. I still feel bad I didn’t get to say goodbye to my dog many years ago, as I was on holiday.
It’s great your husband was there to support you too.

Anyway, I’m sorry you’ve had to go through that today! But you can rest assured you gave her a decent goodbye

Thank you so much for the kind words AL, Seagull, Tubbs, Biscuits, Percy, T, Lee and Tembo

I can't stop crying tonight and am missing her terribly as she would have been next to me on the bed right now. I wish my emotions were less intense so I didn't have to always feel this much pain. She was my mum's cat and now both of them have gone. I know some people (not here) think "Oh pull yourself together, it was just a cat!" but having lost much loved human and non human family members I can say that the pain of loss feels the same.

She was on my bed (her favourite place) when the vet sedated her and then only when she had drifted off into a very deep and heavy sleep did the vet administer the final dose and her heart stopped. It was a very gentle and peaceful way to go.

@ MissKatie - I'm glad that you've got a bath in the hotel. It's the simple pleasures that make life worthwhile

^ I'm sorry Consolida. I'm going through loss as well. It really is the worst.

Stressed.
I've had a bit of a health scare lately and it hasn't been resolved yet. I have to speak to a specialist about it this afternoon.
I'm probably fine, but there's a chance that I'm not. I just want to get all this unpleasant crap out of the way and go back to all the normal unpleasant crap that bothered me before.

Better, or recovering mostly. I think I just experienced a keto flu due to cheating more than usual as I met my cousin and just ate whatever he gave me. I guess it’s lesson learnt to actually take the lifestyle seriously if I’m doing it.

Not too bad today so far. Took my bike out but it was a bit cold and I ended up getting lost and going in a circle. Came home before it got dark.
I have that annoying feeling that I should be doing something but I don't know what it is. Also the isolation is kicking in a bit. I just wish I was able to be almost sociable in a very low effort, low expectation environment.

Happy for a second.

Got the results to my first assignment. Expected to do badly due to poor preparation and module mixups but got quite a decent mark. Started the assignment one or two days before the due date which is and was terrible.

Although maybe it's just luck as well and I would do poorly, or just about pass, in future assignments as that feels more realistic as to what I see my knowledge regarding my current modules.

^ that's a great start, Amara! I've always been a bit of a last minute assignment writer. If I start them early I get a bit bored and think I have loads of time, but I usually just write them in one sitting! I find it hard to go back to them.

The other day a woman at work walked out. Because she found the job stressful. And also I think because she wasn't happy that the company wouldn't give her time off to go to a colleagues funeral.
She walked out, so we had to cover her work that day, which I wasn't happy about. We're already short staffed as it is. She's not coming back. I'm glad in a way cos she always annoyed me. She acted like she was supervisor and liked bossing me about even though she was just one of us. She was a chatterbox, and wouldn't stop talking which annoyed me.
So feel relieved she's gone.
