^ Hope you're okay, Miss. I think you're probably a lot more resilient than you realise (most of us here likely are), so try not to do yourself down. I know that's much easier said than done though.

@ Muggins Feel better fast. You don't deserve to be feeling low.

I'm feeling like A Place in the Sun since Jonni and Jasmine's departure: functional but quite shit. And it took me ages to hit on that simile.

I'm knackered. I've found myself on crutches for the first time and I did not appreciate just how tricky they would make every day life. The stairs have become quite terrifying, which is a shame as I need to use them to get in and out of my flat.

I guess I'll just have to stay in and watch all of netflix

Hi mate. I've crocked myself playing football, so temporarily *touch wood* lost the use of one leg. I've given my boots away to make sure I'm never tempted to play again, I'm so done with that game.

Hope things are good with you?

I hope you feel better soon Muggins

Clementine, changes of any kind can be terrifying, but you're a lot stronger than you think and you'll be able to cope with any changes the future brings

I hope you get some good soon D1662

Hopefully you'll start feeling like A Place in the Sun pre Jonni and Jasmine's departure soon Appear

I'm sure you'll be bombing around on your crutches in no time Bambos and hopefully you make a quick recovery.

It's perfect Are you going ahead with any therapy?
I can understand. Try to be kind to yourself and remember there's always people about here able to lend an ear.

I have been waiting for ages to make some kind of comment somewhere on Jonni and Jasmine-less A Place in the Sun.

I am going ahead with it. Just waiting for a space, which I'm told will be in the next week or so. Feeling almost positive about it (and that's quite positive for me, I think).

Afraid so. The new roster of presenters do a perfectly serviceable job - they just ain't the Js. I suppose we should be thankful they're not Amanda Lamb though.

Well I've gone and done it now. Made a choice rightly or wrongly. Phoned the social worker to let her know and so he goes tomorrow. I just hope I've made the right choice. I wasn't keen on this s'mornings care home, i left feeling a bit depressed whereas the one I saw on Monday (and have chosen) I left feeling more positive. It's lighter and brighter and the staff seemed nice. I liked there ideas for the future of the place too, it seemed quite progressive.

It's a bloody stressful decision to make to be honest, mostly cause it's for someone else.

Thanks folks

Just been to the hospital to drop of some fresh clothes, my dads a bit confused about it all but also I think a bit apprehensive. I think it's the change and the thought of somewhere new. He knows the Hospital unit well and the ppl that work there, so it's become familiar to him. Also just spoke to my Aunt up in Crieff and she's quite pleased. So i'm crossing my fingers that hopefully all will work out.

Fed up, phone is completely wrecked and can't see anything on the screen. Luckily I have a lovely mum who is willing to get me a new one, it comes with a free tablet so winning.

Feeling a bit numb and disgusted towards life tonight. I really don't like they way the world has evolved over the last 20 years. Someone please send me back to the 1980s.

Totally invisible and like I should just give up trying to make human connections. I just left a Facebook group that was initially helping me talk to new people because I felt it was starting to do more harm than good to my self esteem when no matter how much effort I put into talking to various folk on there, it was rarely reciprocated. It's nobodies fault, I just started feeling crappy when I wasn't included in cliquey things with people I thought liked me. Story of my life probably just a social anxiety thing!

Makes me wonder if some people feel like that on this forum.

I definitely get more vivid dreams on sertraline..2 nights ago I dreamt I was part of a group of people who had to escape from an angry group of people who were trying to get to us to do us physical harm..It was scary but also exhilarating..hoping that if I increase the dose the dreams will become even more vivid.

^ I used to be on 200mg a day but now on 75mg, don't remember my dreams being any better on the higher dose, just used to suffer a lot with night sweats which have now gone thankfully

Well after having to put my car in the garage (yet again) and then being on a bus who's brakes seemed to explode, meaning we had to sit at the side of the A24 for an hour then be rescued by a recovery bus who then transferred us to another bus on a really bloody busy crossroads of the A24; missing my vol job and ended up having to go down to Worthing were I was stuck for an hour. I'm feeling not too bad oddly enough.

Got back to the North of W.Sussex (eventually, lol) and visited my dad in his new abode. He was asleep for most of my visit there but when he woke up he seemed happy enough (much to my surprise). I def. made the right choice. Yes it's not huge with massive rooms but there modernizing it all and it's all up to date. The staff are energetic without being lairy. The nurse on duty came and introduced herself to me. Etc etc..
So just the hurdle of handling my dads finances, sorting out his house and possessions...

I really need a holiday.

Yeah hopefully . He seems to like it so far.
Changing though can be tricky and costly - you have to often give four weeks notice so if you leave immediately (say not to lose the new vacancy) you have to pay the 4 wks of care/board etc for the old place and the new place. And it's very expensive. My dad gets some funding but the total cost is £722 per WEEK
