God that sounds just as annoying! 4oclock in the morning but yeah I know what you mean it's hard when you feel the noise ppl make can't be complained about.
I wanna live in a field, away from it all!

yeah both of them downstairs are crazy people which i cant really moan about but they just have no awareness of how they affect others around them. some of the other stupid stuff they get up to...meh i could go on about them for ages. ive been down banging on their door a few times in the middle of the night to have a go, and this grown man sends his daughter to peep through the little eyehole at me while he presumably hides out in his bedroom...ugh its so lame. need to become a millionaire quick and get my moon colony on the go

^ My neighbours do my head in too. Know the feeling about not being able to complain about talking, my neighbours kid sits in his room talking and laughing when I'm trying to sleep it does my head in. The walls are so thin :/ 4am takes the piss though.

Hope you can find some decent headphones Mo, I know how stressful living with loud music is.

To be honest they display a lot of shame-based avoidant behaviour and I think that over time I will be able to kind of bully them into shape. Which is kind of a sad prospect but hey ho :/

Is it worth getting a car battery with lifetime guarantee? It's about £40-50 more than a 5 year one, but I figure the amount my car sits doing nothing it might take a toll on it so getting a free replacement whenever it goes might save me money in the long run I could also move it to another car if I get another.

Edit: Sod it, I went with the £143 lifetime warranty. This car is going to last me ages but will be sitting a lot so that'll knacker the batteries qiuckly, and it's from a local Halfords so easy to return and replace. I expect they don't think most people will bother with it or will leave it in their car when they sell it...not me!

That 'extra rinse' button on the washing machine: what's that about? When is an extra rinse needed? Is it something to do with rinsing out the detergent a little more ...

Oh, like a pre-rinse? That would make sense, to loosen up especially soiled stuff.

I might have to get the manual out

I think number 2 is for heavily soiled

I can see it's use in being a pre-wash or as an extra rinse to rid as much of the suds away as possible, maybe for people that are sensitive to that sort of thing, i don't know, but which it is i've no idea. Our machine has a 'sports' cycle so i guess that would cover heavily soiled..... meh, i stick to 45 - which i take to mean 45mins... *scratches head*

Haha, you'd have to have gone the whole way and start calling it 'a brew', obviously you weren't commited to the foolishness

Quite right. Tea time is when you have a cup of tea, dinner time is evening meal time.

oh i just wanted to add a german slant to this.

breakfast = fruhstuck, literally "early bit"
lunch = mittagessen, literally "midday eat"
dinner = abendessen, literally "evening eat"

If you try driving to work during MET Office red alert and you break your car into bits will your insurance company basically say, tough shit mate, you broke dem rules?

I'm basically trying to square it in my head that I can legitimately stay in bed tomorrow and just take the day off work, - I mean red met office warning is risk of death basically

heres what to do mate

10 minutes before you are due to start, walk to the end of your street and phone in on your mobile saying that your car has just slid off the road and you are going to just walk home. hopefully they will hear some background noise to make it all seem credible etc and there ya go, bobs your uncle

Lol - yeah, to be fair, it often looks like it's just slid off the road,

oh, well its morally correct that you stay off work, because them not caring if you die in a car crash in the off chance you might make it to work during a weather emergency is just bollocks. you are just taking practical steps to make sure the right thing happens

lie thru your teeth bro
