^^ YES!

That's so sweet how we all had similar social and creative experiences with the cassette recorders! Also a little sad that we all have sa and struggle socially now, after being so exuberant in childhood. Oh no, now I'm tearing up! Daft doughnut.

I use to record myself onto tape pretending I was hosting a radio show or doing a chart countdown. Like a top 100. For a couple of years I created my own top 100 songs of the year during the Christmas holidays using all my Now That's What I Call Music Albums and if I was lucky other compilation CD's from that year.

Yeah, I done this too, I'm sure I was quite entertaining,
I would regail the rest of the group with tall stories and jokes, although I would sometimes try and get a laugh at someone else's expense,. Which wasn't very cool

I do also recall at one point wanting to volunteer to be the lead in the school play,..
I think I quite enjoyed wordplay and just talking to a group basically,..

Seems like a world away from who I became

Tsk tsk, lol, i'm sure all's forgotten and forgiven. There is a reliance on one's instinct of entertainment in youth that can be nasty in nature, until you become a bit more measured and mellowed with maturity.

Maybe you could try amateur dramatics?

I'd love to find those tapes. I bet they got thrown away though.
What do you mean record our police interviews? Is there something you're not telling us miss biscuits?

^ Drats! I've been rumbled! All this time, I've been typing to you from death row.

(Someone would be the police carrying out their interrogation and someone would be the perp! If you were the perp you didn't know what ridiculous thing the police were going to accuse you of until they hit record. It was a lot of fun :D)

I like Taylor Swift's 'Shake it off' a lot more when I imagine it soundtracking those times when you fart in tight jeans just before you need to be somewhere and have to stretch and move yourself around in them to 'shake it off'.

I learnt today that I have a disability...that my social anxiety disorder has made me eligible for disability support at university. I have in 32 years never once thought of myself as having a disability.

^ Yeah to be fair it's always been an internal debate I've had with myself for years since my diagnosis, but it seems that under the terms of Disability Student Allowance...living with social anxiety disorder entitles you to disability support.

Therefore, as a result today I came to the conclusion above.

It's a good thread to have though if there isn't one already....'Is Social Anxiety Disorder a Disability?'....discuss

^ Who is feeling brave enough?

I am of the opinion that it can be very disabling.

For me it comes in peaks and troughs. I have had some really good years of living with it and managing it and it doesn't prevent me from making progress with myself and my life. I still experience the symptoms, but it doesn't stop me going out there and making personal progress in my life/career. Then I'll have long spells where it is very disabling, and I withdraw and look inward again. Almost like I need months out of society to recharge or have a reboot with my SAD every few years particularly when life gets trickier.

I don't think something has to be severe to be a disability.
Short sightedness is a disability, but it can be corrected with glasses, so it's mostly not that big a deal.
Excessive shortness or tallness is a disability.

That US people have no idea what "on the hop" means when you've been caught unprepared. Just said that to on a conference call and they thought I meant "on the hopper" which apparently means on the pan, on the crapper

About the phone call printed in the papers where Charles considered being Camilla's Tampax.

I didn't think royals had a role in a supposed democratic meritocracy, but one of those every few years might change my mind.

The Crown is propaganda.

That I'm off work on Friday 23rd! I thought the 23rd was our final day before finish, but I was mistaken.

There is a downside though. We're all in on the 28th, 29th and 30th.
