Hello All I'm Tracy
Hi, I'm a 32 year old single mum of 2. I have always been very shy and found it difficult to make friends. I have friends but not close ones.
Since separating from my partner of 14 years a while ago I have become very isolated and find that my only socialisation is through work. I am a manager of an Opticians and love my job. I can interact with customers fine but I am scared to death of meeting people socially and find it hard to interact with them. I have recently begun counselling and have discovered that I have an avoidant personality which I think stems back to my relationship with my mum. I found this forum through researching this and it is a relief to know that there are other people like me and I'm not just weird!

Hi Tracy, welcome to SAUK
 I've also got a lot from just reading the threads others have posted so far. I'm also a single parent of two, and I find that having kids when you have SA can be really tough, especially as you're in a situation when you need extra support. On the plus side, having kids has made me go out and do things I probably would avoid if I had the choice! Sx

It's great that you have made to this forum. Im sure you will find helpful and supportive ppl here. I. Found it very beneficial to reduce my isolation and even making new friends who are understanding of my issues . Hopefully see you in the forum more often. - Shok
