Hello again
Hi
 I haven't been on for a while, so thought I would post here. I have been a member for a few years and I used to post a lot and go to meets I sorta got embarrassed about things and bogged down with life and I drifted away. I'm back because I miss the support and I miss the people I considered as friends.I'm 31 now and I am starting to relate a lot to people who are bit older and feel uncomfortable about still being socially anxious and being 'behind' other people in several respects. It's difficult when people significantly younger than oneself are surprised when they find out how old one is relative to one's general demeanor and life experience. Since I was last on here, I finally graduated (with a lot of help from the university support services), I spent a year as an airport cleaner and three months as a return agent at a car rental company. I have gone back to uni for more torture, doing my master of research whilst working on saturdays at a coffee shop. I feel that no matter what I do, however much I try, I can't overcome my perpetually negative thoughts or present myself as a confident adult. I must admit, although I consider myself lucky in many ways, I do find life very tiring and every day is quite an effort. I wish I could stop beating myself up all the time!  Anyway, it's nice to be back and I am very grateful that this forum is always here.

Welcome back Autumn Leaves,. was just thinking about you the other day,.
glad to hear you graduated and have been keeping busy, - if it helps,. an awful lot of people have negative thoughts,. it's certainly not just SA people who struggle with this good luck with your Master's degree.

I guess we are a kind of big strange famly. Not sure we are criminals.... although we are indeed the sons and heirs of a shyness that is criminally vulgar  Thank you Aurorasky, I hope you are doing well yourself I remember you CaveGirl and your well thought-out posts Hello Runaway :-) That does help; thank you. I miss your philosophical conversation! Hope your back is doing ok nowadays.

Hey again AL, I remember you! I haven't been active on the forum much either like yourself. Was it Aberdeen airport you were working at? I once missed a plane there a few years ago.
