Default How to relax ?

Just wondering what people do to relax ... been through a lot of late, and having very few friends, the whole social thing is beginning to weigh very heavy on my mind. Does anyone have any tips / suggestions as to how to relax your mind ? Any replies welcome ... thank you.

Gardening
Yoga

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Hey ginger, Jasmine here. what i do is meditate, yoga, tidy my room, do some things from my to do list.. all of these help to keep my mind clear which helps to think in social situations. I'm going to be doing a video soon on things other than facing your fear which help reduce anxiety

Gaming
Bath
Walk
Sit park

Or even a combination such as gaming in the bath while reading. Oh and scented candles can be nice too. =p

Great suggestions, although with gaming it depends on the game I guess :P

Try sitting back in a chair, close your eyes, and relax all the muscles in your body from head to toe (except lungs/heart hoho) breath 10 deep breaths, really feel the breath going in and out.

If you aren't relaxed after this try doing it again also MUSIC works great for me, especially jazz or classical if thats your thing. And going for a cycle on my bike, or a long walk as mentioned above.

Oh yes music is another one.

I actually listen classical at night to help get to sleep.

Otherwise hard dance usually lol.

I think its difficult to discipline yourself to meditate etc to relax but it really does help if you can do it.

Other than that its probably quite a personal thing, I am feeling bogged down, and I often sit and do nothing but wallow..! Not what is best, but I am going swimming in a little while as from memory I enjoy being in the water.

If you live near the coast, going for a drive or walk to the coast and watching and listening to the sea would be quite soothing. Especially on a day like today when the weather is a bit wild.

I find drinking warm liquid, like fruity herbal tea more relaxing than drinking cold water. I dont think cold water is too good for the insides of the body either (a bit of a shock to a warm body!).

If you have animals, enjoy their company. Stroking my cats makes me more relaxed. I have read a couple of studies about animal companions being good for the soul.
