Maybe 2017 will be the year when you tell them to get stuffed and find a job that you enjoy going to

Thanks Muggins

We just got news that one of our sites at work is being closed down today and we have a visit from HR on Monday so maybe we're all about to be made redundant now anyway, so hopefully if we are I can somehow get myself a new job working with some decent people (I think I may even be a bit disappointed if we aren't made redundant now even though that's a bit weird).

I used to say 'I enjoy mechanics' but then I started doing it for a job and after ten years the novelty has finally worn off.

Free of worry

by Ralph Marston
Worry is a waste, and more than that, it is destructive. Because worry prevents other, more positive and effective thinking.

Yes, you have problems, but you don’t have to let them overwhelm your thinking. Yes, you have concerns about the future, and you also have the ability to deal with them.

Feeling sorry for yourself focuses your mind on limitation, weakness and despair. There is nothing useful in doing that.

No matter what your situation, you can choose to think anything, literally anything. So choose to think thoughts of strength, progress, empowerment.

Acknowledge the problem, and also acknowledge all the good things you have going for you. Then face forward, with energy and confidence.

You have the opportunity to make a positive difference, so don’t let that opportunity slip by. Grab this time now, free of worry, filled with clear, positive thoughts, and act to make life better.

I wish I was 'gayer' or more gay if that makes any sense, I really don't fit in the gay world, nobody seems to like straight acting guys, you're supposed to wear ten different scents every day, do stuff with your hair, have nice skin and use Snapchat and Instagram.

And being the wrong side of thirty isn't helping as well, I feel like it really is too late to be anything other than a square peg in a round hole

Thank you Clementine
It does take a lot of courage to stand out from the crowd, if I'm honest I still don't really know who I am yet, it's something I need to explore further, again that's another thing most people do in their teens and early twenties.
I'm not the person I thought I was back then, that's for sure.

As Trump is still alive, I'm calling bullshit on all those people who answered 'yes' to the question 'If you could go back in time and kill Hitler before he started, would you?' Liars. Give me a gun, i'll shoot the bastard.

^ What makes you think you have an ulcer Clementine?

Generally they are caused by infection with a bacteria called Helicobacter Pylori and treatment is a combination of acid suppressing medication and antibiotics for a few weeks.

No I didn't just Google that either I have experience

You really should speak to your doctor about it.

Getting trapped on the cycle of going to bed too late again. Should go to bed soon but worried I will just start crying.

And why do I always think of questions to ask after seeing doctors? Want to ask questions about what I can do exercise-wise but never manage to actually ask.

Aww I do hope you manage to get something sorted, it's highly unlikely that they would refer you for a endoscopy at this stage (it costs too much) he will probably try proton pump inhibitors to start with and usually a blood test or stool test to check for the H.Pylori bacteria, if you tested positive for H.Pylori then it would be two antibiotics and the PPI's.

I've had two endoscopies and they weren't as bad as I feared.

Another thing would be to try Gaviscon instead of Rennies, I find Rennies useless myself.

Good luck, I hope it settles down

^ You're welcome Clementine

I wish I knew how to end a conversation without worrying that I come across as rude,
I can never decide the best way to end it and worry that the other person is either bored stiff or will think I don't want to talk to them
When the other person ends the conversation I start wondering if I upset them somehow or if I'm boring
With text messages it's even more difficult, it really would be so much easier for me if people would just say "sorry, got to go" or "can't talk right now" but they don't they just leave it open ended and I find myself thinking should I reply? Should I leave it?

Why are humans so confusing?

wondering if negativity, or more key non-positiivity is a curse and puts a cap on your potential. For instance, if I'm looking at jobs- my primary feeling is negativity, but if it was 'wow, what an opportunity', and relish the prospect. That clearly is quite a different mind-set.

The stuff I bought in the Spar came to £6.66. I said to the woman behind the counter that that was not a good omen for the day. She thought that was hilarious. I gave her £6.67 and told her to put the penny in the pot. The devil wouldnae have done that, would he?

^^^ should have gone to Poundland, this would never have happened!
(Do Poundland have to charge 5p for carrier bags now? Or do they round it up to £1 to stick to their core philosophy?)
