I've always believed in the binding social contract of communal areas whereby, if you are leaving your abode you do a thorough look & listen prior to exit. Establish there are zero humans in the communal area and then exit as normal. If there is even a spark of perceived human activity you cease & desist your exit until the communal area is clear.

I was going to put this in my thread of small fails, but yesterday I got rather lost on a country walk as the sun was setting. I was trying to cunningly go back home via a different route, but alas, I was wrong about the route. Follow the line of trees, I thought, but the line of trees led down a ravine. Fortunately I had noticed there would be a full moon which was the reason I took the risk, and I ended up tramping down a country road and over a field by moonlight after the sun had set. Very handy, a full moon. And there is something quite magical about it. Twas all a bit stressful though.

Recently have been listening to some old music. It seems like before the 60's the kick drum wasn't as prominent in music and sometimes the bass was used in place of what would be a kickdrum. But it also is interesting as the 808 bass is used like a drum in some modern music.

Where on earth did my can of red bull and twix go?

I've been working nights so I'm still mostly asleep during the day on my time off.
I 100% brought the two items into my bedroom in case I wanted to get up earlier with the red bull and in case I wanted a snack later. 100% sure.

Nobody has been in my room except me (I actually put a shoe against the door so I'd know. But they are now nowhere to be seen. Completely vanished.

I'm not getting up just yet but I'm fully expecting them to still be in the fridge when I do go check later despite 100% certainly I put them in my bedroom.

Bloody pixies :D

Haha very spooky!
Turned out they had made their way into a carrier bag I have on the floor with my shampoo on the other side of the room, with the opening on the bottom

So confused 🤣

Is that a hairstyle or is that half a coconut shell placed on his head?

Why does depression take away so much of the energy you need to do the things that can ultimately make you happier?

I agree with Lee, it's so cruel. I wish I could grab depression and anxiety by the balls, and curb stomp them to death. And then take a dump on their heads.

I must have missed the turning on my country walk because it was so dark. Going there in daylight, I really can't see how. I wonder where on earth I ended up? I do have a famously poor sense of direction (famous in my immediate family only) but really, one would think one could find one's way home if one was placed anywhere in a five mile radius of your home and there was still some light. Well, I did, but I got lost on my first attempt!

Is there life after death or is this it? What is the point of this life if after 80 or so years (if you're lucky) you no longer exist for an eternity? Is life just a short gap between two endless non existences? And if so, is that really so terrible? If being dead is the same as it was before conception and birth then isn't that preferable to a life consisting of mostly physical and emotional pain, anguish, heartache, loss, rejection, frustration, boredom?
If there's such a thing as reincarnation I want to come back where I'm not lying awake at night thinking about all of this and I don't have to go to my loved ones funeral in the morning.

Life sucks. Death sucks. It all sucks

^ True. What comes next will remain one of life's great mysteries.

^^ I suppose an eternity of darkness if we don't know anything about it at all isn't so bad. I mean, it can't be worse than the physical and mental pain that being alive involves can it?

I need to get some sun on my freshly-shaven bonce sometime today. I don't really want to freak the public out just yet, so it'll have to be somewhere there aren't many people..

Ha, didn't think of that! Mercury would've been my first choice though

I went for a long walk nearby, where not so many people wander. I took a hat to cover myself if seen, but didn't use it all that often. Got plenty of sun and feel quite relaxed now.

Oooo just seen a little clip of the drama adaption of The Staircase, it's with Colin Firth and Toni Collette - so there might be a small chance it might actually be good.

Okay, so i've just had a shave ... and, yes, i'm feeling much more confident about this look. I think it actually 'works'. I've always thought i look better clean shaven (of face).

I still feel 'naked' without my hair and a bit shy to brave the world, as it were.
