I've no idea what happened to my school swimming certificates.
What if I need to prove I can swim fifty metres one day?
I'm going to lie awake worrying about that implausible scenario for weeks on end.
Thanks, brain.

Always a good feeling

I have had a rather strange, cunning plan for a while now.

Keep scrimping and cutting out unnecessary expenses and saving up as much as I can,...
Then, leave my job and live a more stress-free and meaningful lifestyle for a year or so,..
Then find more suitable employment again

Alas,. The more 'sensible' 'straight-laced' people in my life probably would conspire to disallow this from happening,

It's amazing the pressure that "caring" people could bring to bear over such a plan.
I understand it completely ,... I just find it annoying,
Nothing makes people more jealous than seeing someone have a bit of freedom for a while.

If I was on my own, I would probably have done this by now.

Aren't they just, and for me painkillers don't do a thing? I hope you're feeling better today Biscuits.

Bit stressed myself today. Going to have a ultrascan today and the last one I had was really painful due to fibro muscular pain. I can grit my teeth but there's also the worry about the results, dealing with taxi drivers, telephones...

One day, out of the blue, I'll suddenly realise that my arm is shaking, imperceptibly at first and then for longer. Or my food will take take longer to go down, that annoying cough will become an actual concern, or I'll find a spot of blood in my underwear. And then I'll think.. "Why did I ever spend a minute thinking about things that either I didn't enjoy, or that didn't have a positive effect on those that I love or the world around me". And then I'll be irreversibly sad.

Wish I could cope with being around people, or with not being around people.
One leads to anxiety, the other to loneliness.

That's a normal amount of time because the person pled not guilty, so the crown prosecution service has to gather all the evidence it needs to take it to court as they have to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the guy was guilty. The defendant needs to time to build up their case and evidence as well. It takes a while to build up the case, get witnesses and evidence, get a trial date with a judge and jury etc.

They didn't charge anyone until around Feb/March 2022, so having a trail in January 2023 is fairly quick, really. They take written and videoed statements at the time to use as evidence in court. Any witnesses can look back at their statement as well.

^ yes, it takes a while for a court case to be prepared by the CPS because the burden is on them to prove guilt. They have to get a court date, gather and look through evidence, contact witnesses, plan questions to ask in court, the defendant/s have to prepare their case too. Sometimes the defendant/s are remanded in custody and the man who was found guilty was remanded in custody when he was charged. What more can the CPS do?

What really is the point of anxiety?
Has being anxious ever benefited anyone? Made their life better?

^ I suppose you could say it helps us be aware of possible danger. But anxiety disorders, no I don't think there's any point to them! They're just a pain in the bum.

I think my initial point is justified. if it takes 14 months for a celebs crime to get to court, than if you or I experienced (serious) crime, it would take upwards of 2 years

^ You'd hope that statements etc would have been taken at the beginning of the process when people could remember better and then just used as evidence when the case came to court. You'd hope anyway!
