Red Dwarf.

As I often do, I start watching things about 30 years after they first come out

It’s all on BBC iPlayer. Although I’m not sure if the more recent series commission by Dave are on there.

I think it’s great. A few of the jokes are a bit naff or don’t really work, but I think overall it’s really good. The Cat character is a bit annoying though.
I like some of the ideas explored, such as the jail in ‘Justice’.

There's never a bad time to watch Red Dwarf. It's my go to happy place. Seasons 1 to 6 were amazing. After that they dropped off in quality. But when it was good, it was really good.

I've been watching Turning Point: The Bomb and the Cold War on Netflix. I'm on episode 3 so far, but I can't see myself making it to episode 9. It's been watchable but not a chuckle. It reminds me of the time when I watched the film Threads in the 80s. To this day I'm still not sure why my Dad had taped a film about nuclear holocaust on my Lady and the Tramp video. Where you go from watching Lady sharing a lovely spaghetti meal with Tramp and then see someone's face peeling off! Which also wasn't a chuckle!

^ I'm watching that too. It's pretty great: detailed, sober, informative and dull. Like a history documentary should be.

Absolutely, Mike! Those are definitely the key ingredients to a great documentary! Although I probably shouldn't drink coffee when I'm watching it! Oh and spoiler alert - WE'RE ALL DOOMED!!!!!!!! No, I'm sure it will all work out in the end!

just started watching Succession series 1, and I can kind of appreciate it and what it's about,
but ultimately, I can't see me lasting past episode 4 or something as it's really just a lot of horrible people being needy, stupid and horrible to each other,
there's only so much ignorant greedy behaviour you can stomach without switching off,
as witty and well acted as it is,. it's basically just really watching a bunch of horrible narcistic people.

Maybe I have some unresolved issues, but is there something subliminal going on here?

Basically, the male with the purple head is drenching two women with white sticky fluid,......
Or, am I reading too much into this?
(is that why you covered this with spoilers?)

^lol, i put 90% of my posts (especially YouTube) in spoilers so it won't uses too much memory when scrolling down maybe? like browsing with many tabs open?

also if i'm posting more than 2 or 3 times in one page, especially posts that won't add much/meaningless random thoughts, etc..

^^ just like when people say 'please don't quote" so, considerate people, especially with social anxiety understand.
also when, for example, when people regularly delete their posts.
i look at the spoilers feature psychologically like maybe a mechanism , like feeling/wanting to post/socialize, but at the same time you don't want to, so no one annoys you and you won't annoy no one. thanks to social anxiety.

Kate Garraway - Derek's story , ITV

What can I say
I just hope I die quickly from something cos I really couldn't cope with being cared for, I'd feel such a burden .

It must've been so frustrating for him losing his mobility.
They were spending £4,000 A WEEK on just basic care for him, unbelievable!

Makes you realize how many millions of people totally dodged a bullet when Covid struck and they simply had a bit of a cold for under a week.

It's so odd how it seriously affected a certain proportion of the population in such devastating debilitating ways.

Homicide: New York on Netflix. Spoiler alert, it's not cheerful! I don't know why I watch these shows! Although great production values, but it's certainly not repeat viewing! It's shows like this that make me edgy when I see a sweet Grandma walking down the street! Put the knitting needles down Granny, I don't want any trouble!

Anyway, I'm gonna have that scheduled nap!

Travel Man.

Channel 4 funds a load of posh people to go to 5 star hotels and Michelin star restaurants and then be sarcastic about it. Lol.
Probably not the best programme during the cost of living crisis. Surely these programmes should be looking at affordable holidays for people. I really like Joe Lycett but his comments in this programme really get on my nerves

This latest series 5 of The Dog House is a great palate cleanser to the machinations of 2024 life.

Think my max is 3 or 4.
