For some reason I keep getting ads on Instagram encouraging me to become a magistrate .

Something that I didn't realise is that it's a voluntary position. It sounds intriguing, but I'd feel too guilty about sending people to jail and unsure!

I was thinking about how it's veganuary and whilst I'm not vegan or vegetarian, I do mainly eat vegan or vegetarian food. It bugs me how so many dishes are centred around meat substitutes instead of vegetable dishes or dishes with tofu. I don't want a fake chicken and bacon pie because I never wanted a real bacon and chicken pie.

^ it's annoying, isn't it.

I thought of a practical use for vat-grown meat the other day: Pet food.
It must be annoying if you want a cat or dog but you don't feel happy to buy and feed it meat, even if they are carnivores. Though I suppose extreme vegans don't believe in keeping pets either.

^ Aldi does currently have blocks of tofu for 99p, which pleases me greatly (what a life haha). It's ridiculously expensive everywhere else!

Who is the target audience for junior bake off? Harry Hill King of the paedos as the host. Creepy idea for a programme. Weird.

How I’ll cope in an elderly nursing home if I can’t access chocolate on demand. How I’ll cope if any resident carer wants to share my chocolate stash. Social anxiety politeness of saying no. I’m thinking about this while eating a Kit Kat.

I don't know if I'm the target audience, but I watch it and think it's great I assume kids are into it due to the time of day it's on and that lots of them apply for it every year. It's no more or less creepy than the adult version (there have always been game shows involving and aimed at children), it's just some people competing at something they enjoy doing.

I stopped watching the main show due to it becoming incredibly boring (and the elements of racism introduced over the last few years), but the junior version has the best judge (Rav) from the whole franchise and it's hilarious - Harry's jokes and references that go over the children's heads, them always missing out ingredients or mixing things up, and the general clumsiness of that age group means half the stuff they make ends up on the floor.

^ that sounds like a win. Also leaving is hard, so that's a win too. That's what I find the most challenging - knowing how to say I need to go. I count down from 10 in my head about twenty times haha trying to psyche myself into doing it. Sometimes I've messaged people before meeting them and asked them if we can agree on a way of me being able to say it's time for me to go haha.

I agree with Biscuit, that sounds like a great win to me!

As for what's on my noggin, other than my barnet, I'm starting to miss sugar! I would elaborate further, but I need some sugar to elaborate further.

How much success is based on who you know.

I'm even thinking even if success is based on what you know sometimes it helps having someone that can show you the tools to acquiring the knowledge for the thing.

How when I look at most jobs they seem either boring or jobs that I don't have the skills for and am not motivated enough to acquire the skills for.

Kitchen portering is alright but seems like it is not worth it for the value of work I would ideally like. It doesn't provide much sense of purpose, sure I have a system that helps me do it efficiently, but at the end of the day it's just washing pots and pans usually for a chef/restaurant owners that takes me for granted. I think that I would want something that is more respected.

It feels like I am getting more use to uni work and managing it but maybe this is overconfident and the work will get more intense as the term progresses.

Type what you're thinking about right now:

The number of times I've watched these portraits and every time it gives me same eerie feeling. I can't believe these belong to real people lived almost 2000 years ago.
