What is a fantastic breakfast?
To me- if I have the wrong breakfast I have 'consequences'. So I'm chuffed to find a permutation that works for me: Cornflakes add raisins. It's lovely. What is a fantastic breakfast for you?

Porridge made with milk, with a spoon of peanut butter mixed into it and a banana chopped up on top.

Re: What is a fantastic breakfast?
it is as it was a nice cheap breakfast. I looked for porridge alternatives- Buckwheat was horrible, and then I came across Spelt Flakes from H& B. That's a reasonable alternative.

Re: What is a fantastic breakfast?
A bowl of porridge with a good dollop of golden syrup or a proper fried breakfast of bacon, eggs, sausage, beans, fried bread and a hash brown.
No black pudding! |

Re: What is a fantastic breakfast?
Can you have wheat? I know some people like hot wheatabix or shredded wheat in the winter.

Re: What is a fantastic breakfast?
hot weetabix? I've never tried that. Only found out the other day that some people eat 'protein' weetabix to keep their calories low. I'll have to pick up some shredded wheat/weetabix sometime. Wheat seems to be okay but I found some reaction to Barley.

Re: What is a fantastic breakfast?
I barely ever have breakfast. I'm up quite early and I'm just not hungry and the thought of eating food at 6:30am makes me feel queasy. Also eating breakfast with other people makes me feel sick for some reason. The foods are particularly slurpy, wet, or crunchy. A cacophony of my least favourite sounds.
I'll eat breakfast at the weekend though. |

Re: What is a fantastic breakfast?
I used to spread a thin layer of marmite on bread. Then a slightly thicker layer of mayonnaise over the marmite. Then grill it till it starts bubbling.

Re: What is a fantastic breakfast?
Like the OP, I've had "consequences " when having the 'wrong' breakfast,
I've managed to work out that what's best for me is to barely eat at all in the morning, So I tend to have just one or two spoonfuls of light cereal Usually something like fruit & nut granola with chopped banana, Then I'll take the rest of the bowl into work and have the main part of cereal at about 10 o'clock, That seems to agree with me, or, disagree with me a lot less than a full bowl in the morning, I'm stressed and rushing about so much in the morning that nothing I eat could ever settle in my acid-drenched stomach, |
