My partner's been bugging me about watching Beef. But I told her "no, I will not watch it unless it's been recommended by Biscuit".

It just seemed to lose some of it's quirky, strange charm after that

Almost finished Beef, it's excellent.

That Gordon Ramsay show on BBC1 is also great. I love how it's basically The Apprentice, which I stopped watching years ago after it stopped being good. The best tasks on The Apprentice for me were always the ones that involved food and drinks and this is just that every week. The problem with The Apprentice was that the first 10 minutes would be a recap and explaining the task, then the task would only be shown for about 15 minutes followed by 35 minutes of boring boardroom. Even though Gordon Ramsay is horrible to watch, this show has like 50 minutes of over-confident idiots trying to carry out the task before getting to the elimination part, which is great.

I've been watching Beef. I'm enjoying it but I think I'm struggling with Ali Wong looking and mostly sounding like Ali Wong but not acting like Ali Wong. Like, there's been a handful of scenes where her Zara tonal collection-wearing mummy's boy husband completely disregards her feelings or just acts like an idiot and she just takes it smiling, sometimes even thanking him for being understanding. I get that she's probably not 'just taking it' but dear god I hope she lets rip at him before the end. They have named him perfectly though - he's very much a wet George.

(Also, Ali with a blond bob - yes please.)

Oh hell yeah! I love the X Files. The monster episodes are my favorite.

Me and my husband finished the first season of Shadow and Bone on Netflix. Super good!

Been watching The Hunt for Roaul Moat, doesn't look like they're releasing it on DVD.

I finished Beef other day, great show that got better as it went on. Yeun and Wong never disappoint, do they? I don't think it needs another season, but I'd happily watch another if they decided to make one.

Always Sunny. Thought i'd give it another go. I must be missing something because, whilst it's fairly entertaining, it's not as good as people make it out to be.

BBC 2 Deborah James Bowelbabe in her own words.

Don't get me wrong, cancer is awful and I guess people cope in their own way but I found that 80% of this documentary is clips of a woman filming herself doing silly dances. Maybe I'm missing something.
I actually found it quite annoying.
Maybe it helped her to cope but shouldn't people see the awfulness of cancer too. We seem to sugar coat every thing in this country.
It's good she raised so much money but silly dances, sorry not for me and yes I am miserable

^ I agree with you really, though of course it's impressive everything she accomplished for charity.

Beef - Among the many good things about this series, Ali Wong's character is such an accurate portrayal of a smug, upper middle class boho type. I like how as the series progresses the main characters' facades increasingly melt away...and you see how thoroughly horrible they both are!

Dead Ringers on Prime. It's weird, compelling and visually stunning - especially as the series progresses. Rachel Weisz plays the identical twin protagonists brilliantly and it's hard not to enjoy watching two of her in different get-up on screen simultaneously.

I don't really remember the film it's based on and apparently subverts, but the more contemporary elements I'm assuming have been added are intriguing. The abrasive, amoral investor and her coterie of trepanning transhumanists and one of the twin's programme of 'experiments' in particular. I think I have an idea of where things are headed, but I'm looking forward to seeing how it gets there.

Kano posted on Instagram that the next (and final) series of Top Boy will be on Netflix in September. Smashing.

Ugly Betty is a light hearted sitcom it likely should be!

I’ve just watched first episode of Beef, was about to switch off as it was slow but it’s refreshingly honest emotions in it, and the ending so funny.

Beef is so screwed up.

Edit: finished it. Final rating 7/10. Great concept and some great interactions at times but other times it’s just screwed up.

Top tip if you sub to Netflix you have access to Netflix games on the mobile and they’re reasonably decent. Poinpy quite a fun one.

Not heard of that.

There's no Doctor Who on Netflix. How rude.
