You can't beat the heat with something that is slightly cold for about 1/2 a second in your throat.

It's okay. I don't feel a need to eat it at arbitrary times in the year because others in the herd are.

It's both delightful and mildly relieving, even if for a short while. I fully endorse this eating of ice cream.

^It may or may not feel relieving, but its actual effect (like with all fatty foods that need energy to be broken down) is to momentarily increase body temp. I would've thought that was obvious to anyone who has eaten food before.

Where did you get that forecast from, Genovese? Metoffice for my area still showing no higher than 29 on Monday. I'm still left wondering where this 40+ temp is going to occur

^ London I think has been forcast as 34 on Sunday. But the further west you are maybe the cooler it will be?
