The hedgehog does not mate for life; it mates for death.

Hedgehogs can vibrate, causing their molecules to resonate and their quills to emit precise high-frequency tones, like a tuning fork, outside the range of human hearing. Hedgehogs are known to use these ultrasonic pulses to interfere with the wings of insect prey, causing them to spiral down out of the air to its level where it can attack.

A group of hedgehogs is known as a lectern.
In the absence of food, hedgehogs are capable of entering a sessile dormant state characterized by a toughening of the outer dermis and the growth of root-like projections from the limbs. Hedgehogs in this state are frequently mistaken for cactuses.
It's estimated that as many as 40% of plants sold as cactuses are actually dormant hedgehogs.

The McDonalds McFlurry was originally a perfectly designed hedgehog trap and in 2006 pressure from the pro-hedgehog community forced McDonalds to redesign the Mcflurry for Europe. Countless hedgehogs were saved from 'a nasty gruesome death'.

In the original storyboards for the Road Runner cartoons, the villian was to be a hedgehog, but Warner Brothers rejected this after test marketing when subjects refused to believe that a road runner could either outrun or outsmart a hedgehog. This is how we wound up with Wiley Coyote.

Hedgehogs are closely related to a leguminous Australian marsupial, the drop bear.

wow amazing critters

Various methods suggested to deter drop bear attacks include placing forks in the hair, having Vegemite or toothpaste spread behind the ears or in the armpits, urinating on yourself, and only speaking English in an Australian accent

Copy and paste from a forum discussing hedgehogs. i'm not sure if they are true or not. it would be nice to think they are however i have seen a hedgehog sprint. they can leg it really fast considering how small their legs are in relation to their body mass.

I think that's nearly all made-up nonsense with a few true bits thrown in.

The collective noun for a group of hedgehogs (not that they form groups anyway) is 'array' not 'lectern'. The cactus plant thing just sounds completely bonkers, and the drop bear is a fiction.

The McFlurry story appears to be true, however.

Just wondering whether I'll now have to give up alcohol permanently. I won't go into details, but it does seem to be increasingly damaging my liver with worrying symptoms, not a good thing. My dad had major drink problems for years, and eventually died of liver-related causes.

Today has been terrible. I look and feel ****ing terrible. However, I think my lower leg looked rather fetching.

*WARNING May offend those with a sense of style*

I managed to get a seat both ways on the tube today and sat like that feeling like a boss. If I was younger, a slightly less repressed whitey and more of a **** (something my critics would deem impossible) I may describe the look as #lowerlegswag. I don't give a shit if the colours are 'wrong'. I felt like a boss. TAKE THAT WORLD.

Wow I want those shoes! How much?

(I don't really want to know as I'd worry if I did own them I'd start making increasingly controversial sock choices also)
