You accept that, unless you are a true lover of humanity and an all-round lovely person, you do have to be selfish in life. Deliberately, not accidentally. It's so hard and depressing, it takes some of the meaning out of life, but I suppose most people play mental games with themselves so they're comfortable with it. Such as the 'well, I'm not as bad as that person/group over there'. Well, I'm good at mental games so I should have gone with that. I realise most people accept this much earlier, but I'm a slow learner.

^Actually, I feel simultaneously in my 20s and in my 40s. And I need to finish going through puberty. And I feel like I've been training for the crone era my whole life. Perhaps because it is the one age when a woman can be whatever she wants, because nobody cares.

Very accurate. Women are never-endingly judged, in ways men never are, throughout their younger lives, primarily on their appearances. I've heard many women say that they only truly felt liberated and free to do what they really liked once they'd got to an age in which they felt they no longer garnered this kind of attention and scrutiny.

I was in vrchat yesterday and went to a recreation of the Malibu club in gta Vice City and it brought this feeling back. Listening to that 80s music.

The feeling of playing second life, hl2/garrys mod when they first came out. The magic of that time. I used to dislike the player model for the main character in Vice City as it was so simple, but now I am nostalgic for it. I'm also a bit peeved about people calling player models skins now, rather than that being a texture change.
