I'm feeling shit too, though physically. I'm not looking forward to the next few weeks suffering as i am ...and with the weather continually warming up too. I'd love to be put into a coma for while.

Woke up sneezing and feeling rough with hayfever took my usual combination of quercetin, actimel and a soluble vitamin c and my symptoms have subsided slightly.

That's without even leaving the house none of the windows have been opened for 2 weeks pollen must be high today if its still managing to get in, sod going outside.

Anyone got a space suite for sale?

^ I'm wondering if air purifiers would help people? I saw one advertised the other day, I'm sure they're expensive and not necessary most of the time but this year when people are suffering so much with hay fever I wonder if something like that would work, especially for sleeping at night.

Negligible effect. I had one for my bedroom that i used overnight. Windows shut etc. Didn't notice a difference. I'm pretty sure i would've posted about it somewhere here...

^^ yes we've got two fellowes hepa ones that are pretty much on all the time. They work well but only if your room is totally air tight with no gaps to let outside air in which is quite hard to achieve. I've even gone as far as blocking up the toilet cistern over flow pipes during pollen season(outside pollen air blows in through them)

Random thought and probably a no, but do certain house plants help at all to purify the air in the home?

A venus fly trap for pollen.. ?

House plants do purify the air but won't do anything for the pollen.

Ah, you probably have mentioned it I would have thought, sorry I probably just didn't remember. Maybe you'll have to try blocking the toilet pipe like BFG

Good they help a bit atleast. Hayfever is sounding awful this year for people, it must be miserable.

I'm going to 'embrace' it and push through without trying too much to lessen my exposure to pollen. It can't get worse than this, surely. I think the South is already in full bloom and has been for a while, the 'pollen bomb' that the forecasters were saying is coming this weekend started the beginning of the week for us.

Grr. You'd think the body would exhaust itself and/or come to the conclusion that it's nothing to get excited about and stop reacting. Being reminded that we're 'trapped' within an organism that does it's own thing regardless is shit.

Hahaha that brings me to my next suggestion! Waving the hoover around all day to suck away the pollen.

Oh my gosh yeah! I love it when spider plants have their little babies and money plants too.

Haha, that would actually work quite well i should imagine. I thought a nose clip filter thing would've existed by now. Perhaps they do but no one's raving about their effectiveness if so.

^tried a nose filter thing from China years ago. Didn't fit didn't work load of rubbish.

If I get really desperate at work I put on my versaflo hooded respirator and have a break from pollen.

Content but my calf and foot is very painful today (plantar fasciitis, right calf). My period is very late and my app keeps trolling me by sending me notifications that I might be pregnant. Not unless Casper the friendly ghost has made plans for me. I bought some things (clothing accessories and home decor) in the sale this week so that’s given me a momentary boost. It will soon fade after I realise I didn’t need these things, I so wanted. Also been eating millionaire bites which are unbelievable miracle makers. Absolute heaven- for a few seconds.

I'm feeling not bad. Garage phoned and it appears to be the oil sensor not oil pump (which probably would have been to costly to bother fixing in terms of the cars worth).
Had a so so morning at work. And have booked a holiday to Ireland though not yet the flights. I probably wouldn't be brave enough to fly anywhere on my own but a friend of mine is coming a long as she wants a break from the kids.

^ Pretty relaxed. Yeah accomodation is booked, were staying in a little appartment in Ballycastle. So flying into Belfast and then travelling up to the Antrim coast - so Giants Causeway etc..

Weirdly my counsellor is from the area, she's said the beaches are amazing (I'm guessing much like the West of Scotland). But yeah mostly a relaxed, scenic holiday, though hope to explore Belfast too as were there. I'd quite liked to have seen the puffins on Rathlin Island nesting but we'll be too late for that.
