I have had enough of my username. I feel like I have created a 'pet name' for myself and it annoys me. Also, whenever a user, uses, 'TomTom' I feel uncomfortable, almost like they are violating me but it feels worse because I have encouraged the violation and therefore creates a circle of self loathing and confusion.

I am also dissatisfied with the lack of capitalisation.

I was thinking of a complete change but I think that is going overboard. An Israeli type action, so to speak. I would therefore like to remove a 'tom' from my username. I'm not sure if this is wise but it feels right.

Therefore, I ask that my username be modified and from this day forth I would like to be known as...

Some people put their former name in their signature but it's really up to them if they want to do that.

It's often pretty easy to find out who someone used to be by looking back at their posting history, as any quotes will still show their old username.
