The house-cleaner lady did a good job, walls, floors, and cupboard doors gleaming, and I was able to leave her to it rather than engage in conversation.
Took her a couple of hours.
I was so tired from "getting ready" for her (as you do) I ended up sleeping for an hour or two in the afternoon.

She's coming next week to do the outside windows.

Went to a deeper conversations Meetup where you ask people questions.
Was good although also nerving. Weirdly enough I didn’t find the bubbly person I spoke with overly intimidating. They were actually interesting to speak to but they probably found me boring.

Really not much of an achievement, but more of a personal achievement due to my circumstances.

Went for a run, without timing it. Actually was easier, I think the reduced mental pressure of not timing my run made me just run for the sake of running.

The achievement here is that I avoided another day of sitting at the computer and feeling bad and like no one likes me, I’m not a people’s person and stuff. It felt like running today also gave me a bit more sense of control. I’m gonna do more untimed running, though not bodybuilding it definitely has its benefits especially if I go kickboxing consistently.

So I keep bemoaning the fact I've been a massive twat, and a blind, slightly unhinged drunk is captain of my ship. But today I have worked my way through chapter 1 of the ACT book, 'Get Our of Your Mind and Into Your Life'. I had previously avoided it because there are a lot of exercises, it is work, but after having it hanging around for maybe two years, I am finally working on it. It looks less scary now, so that is progress.

I answered the door to the delivery man

Involved a very noisy intercom and a brief talk down the phone. No anxiety.

It helps that I'm slightly inebriated, knew what time they were coming and just destroyed the stupid vampires in Total Warhammer 2 lol

I still did it

^ I wouldn’t say shape matching games were a complete waste of time - keeps the brain active I guess! But I can certainly understand why you’ve deleted them if you feel it’s distracting you. It sounds good to try and learn a new skill, I hope you get on well with the embroidery!

I gave a demo to about 30 people for work, over the internet
It was about three minutes long but unscripted
I can't say much more about it as I work for a big, well known company
I'm on holiday now until after Easter (had to use it or lose it)
I'm resisting the urge to catastrophise over it in my own head, and I got positive feedback.

Go you, well done
Unscripted is so much more difficult, having to remember things through the nerves.

^^ wow! That’s amazing, al!

Sounds like you nailed it! I had to do some video input recently and it’s terrifying - my voice was so shaky. “I promise I’m not delivering this to you from on top of the washing machine.”

@hellotiger, aww that’s so lovely that going back to work went so well. Your workers are lucky to have such a caring boss who puts their wellbeing first

I went for a short bike ride for the first time this year and visited the shops, which was awkward. As I was leaving, I had to unlock my bike when a male cyclist was unlocking his next to me. I felt anxious that he was looking at me, and I probably should have said something casual and friendly or made eye contact but didn't, so it was awkward, but at least I went out.

I did a few chore type things which were difficult for me.

While "working" from home I cleared out 5 black bags of crap that I've been holding on to - so liberating - this is only the beginning

Its so satisfying throwing it all out, I mean why do we have all this stuff anyway!! I’m going to Marie Kondo my whole flat
Are you not able to work from home Mr Nobody, even at the moment? I do a couple of days at home and a couple of days at the office, which is ideal for me, I’m very lucky
Aye, took one look out the window and haven’t been out since Saturday

Yesterday I spent all afternoon in the garden in the sunshine. I planted all of my summer flowering bulbs and put up my new string lights.

Just got to find the energy to mow the lawn now (or persuade OH to do it!)

^^ Aww good, keep looking after yourself

I actually can’t fry an egg. I think I did it once to earn a badge at brownies but then never again haha.

@Tubbs aww bet that was lovely.

@ Mr Nobody and Otters - clearing stuff out is so satisfying!
