Well it’s only time.

Collecting too many books has a Japanese term called Tsundoku.

Wow, maybe we don't need cloud storage. But I guess the cloud is more convenient as it's easy to sync across devices.

only six percent of people in the UK now work 9 to 5

My opinion though is that a lot work more so that doesn’t sound overly optimistic.

I knew the price cap on buses goes up to £2.50 in Nov but didn't realise it will be in place till Nov next year. Quite pleased about that. £2 would be better but a return of a fiver is better than the £8/£9 I would usually pay. Not much cop though if you need 2 different buses to get somewhere which in a rural area I often do. Just as well getting a £10 day ticket for that.

That paying for more actually helps save money in the long run sometimes. Now that i'm starting uni and know that it will be tech dependent I have spent money on trying to make my PC setup more comfortable and will continue to.

I am spending more than I planned because tech and office furniture isn't cheap. But I am only spending as much as I am because before I never really invested in my PC setup. I never invested in displays, power ports, chairs, tables. So these all need to be brought soon. Thankfully hardware and furniture is usually a long term investment so I can spend less next month.

Luckily I got decent audio from the time I was into music production and a long lasting laptop, a 11 year old X230 thinkpad, as I saw that a typical, hp that was lower spec, was not worth it for software heavy tasks. Now I would rather long lasting, repairable desktops/laptops for future investments.

But I also need some new clothes which is an extra payment. If I spent money constantly on stuff, but at a low rate, for example, a new garment every one to two months or so, I think I wouldn't need to spend a lot as I would kind of usually have the stuff I need. I think I went minimalistic with clothes and threw a lot away. I don't regret this. I think minimalism is still good but maybe it's like a season so should be practised but not always to an extreme.

It's like spending wisely is about maintaining some flow.

Very true, certainty of clothes, the cheaper the item the more quickly it will lose its shape after washing etc. You’re better off buying good quality brands from eBay etc. or charity shops than from Primark or supermarkets etc.

True, Spend more but less often.

But what I meant is that if I spend frequently or frequent enough in certain things I lower my risks of having to buy a lot of the thing in a short period. But then this is why savings are important. I need to get better saving habits. My savings account is too easy to access.

Anti-fatigue properties sounds good to me!

^ I like mushrooms and they're fungi.

I don't remember insects tasting of much, but I've only eaten them in Cambodia and Vietnam.

There's a red food colouring made from crushed beetles which is used in lots and lots of different foods, so pretty much everyone will have eaten insects.

Haha noo.

Wasps have to crawl inside to pollinate and then the fig breaks down the wasp so it's fully decomposed.

Figs are haunted by the ghosts of wasps.

New term, not heard this before:

aphantasia
/?e?fan?te?z??/
nounMEDICINE
the inability to form mental images of objects that are not present.
"if counting sheep is an abstract concept, or you are unable to visualize the faces of loved ones, you could have aphantasia"
