Sponsoring a dog kennel

Has anyone sponsored a dog kennel? I think someone mentioned it here before but Im thinking of doing this with the RSPCA but Ive been reading some bad reviews about them not responding to incidents and its put me off slightly.
Any experience?

^ Yes - I support Hillside - they campaign and do a lot to expose abuse of animals. You could adopt one of their animals if you wished. https://www.hillside.org.uk/

To update: Ive sponsored quite a few cat pods and dog kennels across the charities. I cant adopt a cat or dog due to my circumstances but I do love them.
I know a few forum members own cats and Im quite envious! Do you find them affectionate and good cpmpany? Ive never owned a cat before so Im curious! :d
