Re: Did anyone else miss out on their teenage years/adolescence

I definitely missed out in my teenage years and even now at 29 I still feel like I'm missing out. I still spend most of my free time sitting in my room by myself. Missing out on relationships is one...

Re: I want to meet my clone :(

I'm always on the look out for my 'clones', but so far I've not had much luck. Yeah sure I've met a few people I click with, but there's always something that stops me feeling like we're perfect...

Re: Which is worse?

I think its better to go alone than not go in most situations. I will be going to a gig on my own next year and since I'm moving out this year I'll have to get used to doing pretty much everything by...

Re: Tennis

Yes he really went for the ball, especially later in the match and became more aggressive, but I still think he could improve a lot in that area. He seemed to win a lot of points when he came towards...

Re: Tennis

Amazing result! I would never have predicted Andy would win in straight sets especially after his performance in some of the previous matches. Thoroughly deserved though!

Re: Tennis

Have to agree. I think women should play five set matches at least from the quarter final stage onwards. Quite a few players barely get warmed up and playing their best tennis before the match is...

Re: Tennis

Wow, what a day of Tennis. Over 8 hours of it. :O

That Janowicz is scary, but Murray played the right kind of game against him and thankfully he served the best he has all tournament. He did twice...

Re: Tennis

Wow, how did Murray just survive that 5-setter? :O He's gonna have to come out playing better tennis than that if he wants to win this tournament.

Credit to Del Potro earlier today. Managing to...

Re: How is everyone feeling? (27)

Well done! I had a similar experience at uni, but only achieved a 2:1. You did well to battle through the depression and come out with a top grade. :thumbpur:

Re: Tennis

Yeah it was a shame Robson screwed up the big points in her match but I think she's shown yet again she has great potential. From what the commentators were saying it seems she has come a long way in...

Re: RIP Mick Aston

R.I.P Very sad news and totally unexpected. Along with the rest of Time Team he must have helped inspire thousands. The Facebook group set up to remember him already has 10,000 likes.

Re: Tennis

Murray and Robson into week 2!! :yahoo:

I thought the guy who beat Federer might have wowed us all a second time with his wonderful old school tennis, but sadly not. It made me feel young again...

Re: Tennis

Would love to see another Murray vs Federer final, with Murray winning, although I'd get more pleasure from seeing him thrash Djokovic in the final tbh.

Re: Are you more likely to pm someone with their pic as avatar?

I think a photo does make me notice someone's profile more, especially if its as their avatar. But usually before I message someone I read their profile and even go back through their post history,...

Re: moving out with SA

I've only lived on my own and rented once in my life whilst I was at uni and I can't say I enjoyed it, but because I wasn't planning on staying there for many years I didn't furnish the place much -...

Re: The Three Keys to Fostering Friendship

Some good points there. I think the proximity one is very true. No matter how much I try and find it increasingly more difficult making friends online, yet when you're stuck together with people all...

Re: FOMO=Fear Of Missing Out

I know what you mean...I kinda feel the same, except I'm almost 29.

I think I fear missing out on my youth....I'm not really ready to settle down, yet I've reached the age when it's expected of...

Re: what to do in London with 16yr old?

The British Museum or the Museum of London are great. Perhaps the latter would be more suitable as they have more interactive displays and models to look at. Not sure about evenings though. The...

Re: Is life tougher for young people growing up today than it was for yourself?

I think kids have it as good if not better today. Technology has improved significantly since I was a kid back in the 1980s/1990s. IMO there's better music, better tv (depends what you watch though),...

Re: Do you consider online friends as real friends?

It is hard to form or maintain friendships when you can't be in the same place as someone or share the same experiences. It does tend to make conversation difficult and unless you get to the point...
