I got on a bus and went into the city centre....ON MY OWN!!!!

It did help that it was mid morning but Leeds on a Friday is always fairly busy, and with the German market being on, I think I can allow myself a small pat on the back....(a cat paw sized pat on the back)

I did have to duck into the Library as its been over a year since getting on a bus on my own and even the awesome coffee of La Bottega couldn't help me get quite panicky but it's something to be proud of

My bf and I did that last month when we were in Edinburgh, really amazing tour.

Well done you! :trophy2: I lived in Leeds many years ago... I have a bit of a yearning to go to the city centre myself after reading your post! I had an amazing flat at Hyde Park corner... how I miss that flat! it only cost £200 a month and it was huge, now I live in the Midlands I'm paying twice that for a 1 bed flat

I went back to Leeds 3 years ago and visited the armouries - it was great because I could still find my way around.

Have you ever been to that big Morrison's in the city centre? When I was at uni in Leeds people used to say they had panic attacks in that supermarket, I never understood that because I used to do my shopping there every week and never felt anxious there (I did feel anxious at that big Asda in Pudsey though).

If you lived in Hyde Park you must have been to the Clock Cafe (now LS6)...and Retro Boutique next door!!!

Meanwood now has a big Waitrose so I tend to go there...Leeds is a nice place to live

Your definitely right their, This time last year I couldnt get on a tram to go into town, the first 5/6imes were hurrendous for me but because I kept pluging away at it, im at the point now where getting on trams isnt a problem.

I had to go to London recently for a conference - boy was that stressfull!

Couldn't sleep before or after it - ended up being awake solidly for over 50 hours!

They did all the usual networking stuff, I managed to find a quiet corner to hide in.

I ended up sneaking out early, I just could cope anymore.

I was a complete wreck!

Funny thing was they'd tried to get me to go on an all expenses paid trip to San Francisco for another conference a couple of months before the London one.

That would have killed me - no joke!

Again well done - keep up the good work!
