That's great going! I am trying to walk more instead of using the car and it would be great all round if everyone would move more and see more things.

15,000 steps next then Superted?

I've had a good day: breezed through this mornings work, played tennis during the afternoon, had a brief encounter with my niece, visited an old friend during the evening, had a long walk home.

And now i'm gonna get a little drunk.

Sounds like a good day indeed spud ! Although it depends how drunk you got

Well done Aruals and Mantisgirl, my last dentist visit was about 25 years ago ! I am convinced it is a scam, I still have all my teeth Today I do anyway.

In an effort to break the "work, home, try to sleep, work , home, try to sleep" I cancelled my online order for a work item and drove to halfords after work and bought it in person.

Then I went to the polish car wash and got the car cleaned (it involves speaking to them).

At least my focus isnt entirely on work tomorrow or sleeping beforehand like it normally is.

I went to Costa and instead of my usual (easy to drink without any problems) appl juice I tried a soya latte as I'd wondered what they are like ever since I heard someone order one a while back, got through it and enjoyed the new experience (maybe I'll start trying all kinds of new drinks from now on).

Well done Hollie.

Yesterday I was out of the house all day. I did cheat a bit as I wasn't on my own but don't usually stay out for 9 hours
Last time my son was away I didn't leave the house between dropping him off at the airport and picking him up and the house was spotless when he got back.
This time I've been out so much it's a complete tip but he will be pleased when I tell him why.

Well I had an old friend contact me yesterday asking to meet up. (she's been asking for awhile). In a moment of pure madness I decided to say yes and so she came over (she lives in the next county) and we spent most of the eve together 'catching up'.
I say catching up I don't suppose my side of it was too interesting. How something as simple as that can provoke such extreme anxiety in me b4 hand I do not know. We've known each other for 20? years, although I haven't seen her in a long time. she was going to bring her husband but didn't in the end which is just as well not sure I could have coped with that. It was a nice night but it took it out of me. When she left I had an overwhelming desire for vodka! Had no booze in the house alas
Not sure how I feel about it. I'm still a bit
I'm trying to hang on to the sense of achievement and not start picking it apart and turning it into a negative.
It's a start anyway, on the way back to the old me....

Well done Mo, I totally empathise with everything in your post. Once I achieve something i cant beleive how much fuss I made beforehand, and then the effort to not re-evaluate the entire thing afterwards is huge.

you did a good thing, and you did it by just jumping in, hang on to that and remember what you said "on the way back to the old me" I dont know the old you but that sounds like exactly what you are after

If the old you was a serial killer please ignore the above praise

Went to the hairdressers yesterday, didn't like awkwardly looking the mirror and when they show me the back of my hair I just smiled

I went out and bought some willow screening to put up between my patio and the neighbours. The 3 or 4ft fence just fed my SA.

I dont want to be a recluse and put up lots of barriers so a partial screen, which I can chop down easily a bit later if I want to, I think I will probably just gradually reduce it for the last 1/4 so it meets the existing low fence.

It is slightly harder to see through than the below pic shows. I will be interested to see how much more comfortable I will be knowing there is somebody I know ,very close, making noise, and able to technically see me but not likely to say anything or acknowledge me in any way (including eye contact), looking forward to the guinea pig trials.

It makes me far more comfortable in my kitchen too which was sort overlooked by their patio.

This should hopefully make a big difference to the life of this tryhard flump, hopefully start using my telescope again. I hope they understand, it isnt total blockout and it gives them privacy as I overlooked their back door too.

Ohhh damn

Nice willow screening btw. That is the type of thing I would need if in the same situation, to sit out or have a kitchen window opposite neighbours. Like you say you can reduce it back as and when.

Great idea with the screening, flumpsy! Our garden is overlooked on all sides so I know how uncomfortable it can be.

And well done Aruals!

I spent the day in London by myself today. I actually spent 7 hours in a room full of about 200 strangers. Managed the trains, DLR and finding my way around. Super proud of myself
