First real night out since funeral...

Well, tonight was difficult but i managed it...

Since my uncle passed away i didn't want to do anything and know anything from anyone, but 3 weeks on i went out for the first time tonight, and it was a "hook up" as well, what that means is meeting up with mates from school every 3 months, so that was quite massive, i would have rather just gone out for a beer with a mate but i thought oh well jump in at the deep end and it worked out fine.. i think im ok.. i'm due to go to an xmas do at work on the 7th i think im ok to go now...

Prior to this i missed out on a mates wedding reception amongst other things which was really hard, and he's not text me since so maybe he's not talking to me...

but anyway, i thought i did really well today

Well done Danny, that's good that you're coming to terms with your loss. Would it be worth texting your mate to ask him how things are going and explain why you didn't feel able to go? I expect he's had a lot on his plate since getting hitched anyway.

I have text my friend a while back, i may send another one just in case he was very busy at the time. He is aware of the situation as i did tell him before the wedding that there was a chance i wouldn't turn up.
