Ordering a Mcdonalds, reading /r/nosleep and forgetting about delivery, and then absolutely shitting myself when there is a knock on the door. I think the Mcdonalds delivery man thought I was insane when I opened the door so slowly and nervously.

Dr Heimlich saves choking woman with manoeuvre he invented

The 96-year-old American inventor of the Heimlich manoeuvre has used the technique himself to save a choking woman at his retirement home.

Dr Henry Heimlich said he had demonstrated the technique many times but never used it in an emergency.

His action dislodged a piece of meat with a bone in it from the 87-year-old woman's airway.

"I didn't know I really could do it until the other day," he told the BBC.

Thinking about the time a man recognized my surname and said he knew my grandad (who died before I was born). He said he was a good man who he looked up too and taught him lots(my grandad a caretaker in naughty boys home). I felt bad I wished I could of met him and a stranger knew him more than me. I told my dad what the man had said and I saw tears in his eyes, Kind of made me feel proud that someone would think of my grandad even after all those years.

Some Audi wanker tried to intimidate me on the motorway earlier, to get me to speed up and shift over onto the slow lane. I didn't even get in his way initially, there was no one for quite a distance before he sped right up behind me.... so i slowed down, just fast enough to overtake the traffic i was level with, and then moved over ever so slowly out of his way.

Love it when that happens.

I saw a blackbird trying to yank a juicy worm from the road side earlier. It knew i was approaching, but was trying it's darndest to prize it out before i got too close. It failed, lost it's nerve, scuttled away a bit, hopped backward a couple of times, before looping around me and back at the worm

I was half tempted to take it for myself ... but i knew i had fish & chips for when i got back home.

Black with orange beak is probably a Blackbird. Crows are all black and quite big.
