Re: Small things that make you smile
^ I laid bubblewrap on my landing recently, left over from ebaying. Every time I go to the loo in the middle of the night I forget and I cheer myself up with some pop pop pop. Its the small things in life that make it worth living I find.

^ Its that huge stuff for big boxes.
We once laid an entire floor and ran over it in wheeled office chairs. Obviously it ended in tears but it was fun until we started playing 2 player. You can get battery powered keyring electric bubble wrap too, it seemed like a good idea but that was a very long christmas day once my dad opened that I can tell you. |

Re: Small things that make you smile
This evening I was driving home and saw two schoolboys walking home, I think they must have been brothers. The youngest was carrying a big bag, he looked tiny, the older brother took his bag off him and started carrying it probably because it was heavy. I thought it was a very kind of him.

Tough day for flumpsy. |

Then my partner, comforting me and mentioned Margaret Thatcher. Gave me butterflies in my tummy. Then my partner, comforting me and mentioned mustard. Gave me butterflies in my tummy. Then my partner, comforting me and mentioned myrmecology. Gave me butterflies in my tummy. Then my partner, comforting me and mentioned massive dinghies. Gave me butterflies in my tummy. Got to be one of these. |

I have a mate called Bennie who is in love with a minotaur, but it wasn't meant to be. How could the love between a minotaur and a clown ever survive in this judgemental society?

^Yeah, but I suppose it's hard when you're the matriarch of a mob family to allow your kids to be who they are and not try and force them to follow the mob path. Sad, really.

^ You know a couple of days later I thought that the m-word might be marriage rather than mustard. Seems obvious now but honestly didn't cross my mind at the time. Margaret Thatcher doesn't give you butterflies in your tummy?

Ah, yes. I'm with you on the whole wedding day fuss, thing. To be honest, that aspect puts me off too. Mind you, my partner has already been married once and if we got married she would rather us just do it on a beach in the Caribbean without any fuss at all. I could go for that. Maybe you and the Rumster could get married at the peak of Cat Bells in the Lakes or something like that. No fuss, just you two and a few passing hikers as witnesses. |

'You're making a big mess and I've just cleaned up in here'. He responds, 'well, you'll just have to do it again tomorrow'. Such sass. So proud. |

Re: Small things that make you smile
My four year old (feels weird typing that)...
'Owwwww, mummy you're hurting meeeee!' 'I only wiped your face, stop being such a drama queen' 'Mummy that is wrong, I am a boy so I'm a drama king' 'Just try it! Every wee boy and girl loves spaghetti bolognese' 'That's not true. I'm a wee boy and I don't like it, so only some do.' 'Look, I've finished all my tea! Can I have ice cream now?' 'No you haven't, you've left half of it.' 'Abracadabra! My tea is invisible.' How did I live without him for so long? |
